February 2011 - who's going? - IT'S FEBRUARY! WAHOO!

Hey, you can't hijack the thread...that's what it's here for to talk about anything you want with the occasional "who's going" updates. :)

No one could believe that she'd left her baby. My jaw dropped and I had to consciously shut it...I was stunned.

thanks...

I wouldn't been stunned too.. Although I think then it would've been hard not to go crazy on her!

Hi there!!

That was my thought.

Hi!

No....I think her baby was asleep and she didn't want to wake he / she up...and thought the baby would be perfectly fine in the stroller. I honestly think she thought nobody needed to watch her baby.

Would be funny if she was a DISer and read this. I'd love...LOVE...to hear her response to what we saw. Personally, I think it borders on abuse.

Well, I do too. That reminds me of one of the bosses where my DH WBG works. They always have the Christmas party at place like the Hilton here in town, and the alcohol flows. He and his wife always bring their little girl she was like three when they started bringing her. They would let her go out on to the dance floor or just wander by herself. I always worry about her. I would never let one of my children wander amongst adults at an adult party in a very public place. I am sorry that may sound judgmental but I would be scared.

Trust me...we all made comments about her and didn't bother to whisper. I'm sure she heard us gasping and comparing notes to one another abut the nutjob that left her baby in a stroller. I'm sure the message was received. Nasty disposition on that one.

I don't think it bad. I work for my families small company and I always love that the kids get freedom during our Christmas parties. BUT I know everyone there.. and its a room with the door shut and halk the people are family.. but at weddings and what not.. that kid is with me like glue!! lol

I told my husband that I couldn't even enjoy the show if I didn't have my eyes on my kid the entire time. It would be pointless.

As for your situation...three is a little young. I'll admit, we do let Natalie out of our sight but she's 11 and if it's someplace like Disneyland, we make sure she has a phone and that she comes right back.

This is a major corporation, with different shifts and he works days and is not familiar with everyone. And the rooms are not so closed off that people from outside the company don't come in to dance.

At 11 it is totally different. I think that at 3 she doesn't have the judgment that an 11 year old might.

The nasty weatherman was saying they are expecting the storm window to open late in February. But, I live in the bay area so it could be different.

Feb is supposed to be the wettest month in Anaheim. Lately though, it's been mid to high 70's and sunny. Could go either way.

As I said above, but, as you said it has been warm. I plan on packing rain ponchos, and closed in shoes. One nice thought if it does rain it won't be as busy.

I guess the less crowds would be nice. lol does it usually "pour" like pack the rain coat and boot's pour? or just a light rain?

I live outside Seattle--if it's not raining, we don't think we've gone outside ;)

IDK how you handle that. lol

I thought this one year when it rained on us in Disneyland. I looked outside at all the poncho wearers and laughed at them. Then I went outside and it was a monsoon and we were soaked to the bone, and freezing. It may rain more often here, but when the skies open up in LA, it rains hard.

You know I didn't think I would warm up the December I was there and it rained. But, February is warmer. And I think a cold day in LA is better than warm one at home.
