February 2010

Hello, my fellow February travellers! I have a few questions...I'm sure I will have more later... :goodvibes So, thank you in advance for all of your help. For someone who's basically a newbie, the advice and guidance I've gotten from this site have been so helpful and I know I'm going to have a better trip because of it.

So..my questions...
1. I did ask this on the transportation board, but don't how much traffic that gets...also checked out the TSA website...and am still confused on bring make-up in my carryon. Would like to bring some and a small can of hairspray, just in case in my luggage doesn't magically appear in my room at CSR. Can anyone clarify this for me?

2. Do the cabs that run inside Disney, like from resort to resort, have set-ups to take credit cards?

3. I'm pretty clear on what shoes to take, just wanted to know how many pairs folks usually take for a seven day trip.

And thank you AGAIN!

Can't believe how close my little Donald Duck is to the end of that ticker!

1. Not sure if you have already checked this...if you have, sorry! http://www.tsa.gov/311/ Anyway, I'm sure that makeup in carryon bags is fine -- my sister brings eyeliner and a small bottle of foundation, and has never been stopped. She puts it all in a plastic zip-top baggie just to be safe. As for the hairspray, check how many ounces -- 3 oz. is the max. I'm pretty sure that anything you find in the travel section of a drugstore or a Target is TSA approved. Just make sure you put the makeup and the hairspray all in one quart-sized, clear plastic zip-top bag. :thumbsup2

2. I think they do, but I'm not 100% sure, so, I'll leave that for someone else to answer. :upsidedow

3. I'm not much of a shoe person, so I won't be much help. I bring a pair of sneakers and a pair of flip-flops.

Hope this help and you have an amazing time! Looks like you're arriving just a couple of days after us

Not sure about the other questions but as for the shoes, I usually bring 2 pair of good tennis shoes. If one gets wet you have a back up pair. I also bring a couple pair of flip flops or crocs just in case we get a hot day in there somewhere. :thumbsup2

Okay I agree with the Target Travel size aisle for Hairspray !!
Don't know about the Cabs , and shoes I am bringing 1 pair sneakers 2 pairs crocs and 1 pair sandals !!!

Leave in two days ~ just finished packing! Set alarm for SW checking tomorrow a.m. --- Now the real waiting begins :rolleyes1 nothing to do but wait...

Last year I brought my makeup in my carry on bag. It was even in my dark makeup bag. Nobody said anything about it. I also use mineral makeup so there are no liquids in there.

In the travel section I was able to get good quality hair products. I had a mousse and hairspray. Worked great. I had a TSA bag for it and had no problem. I have found the TSA approved bags right in the travel section as well.

Shoes-generally just my one pair of sneaks. Last year I brought my skechers and wore them one day. They hurt my feet. I may bring them again just in case.

Do they have valet/bell hops? do you have to use it? If not where do you park; so they know you won't be needing them? thanks

There never is, just another President's Day Week for us. But I really can't believe that we're in a recession and so many people can afford to go.

BIG NEWS, we're now leaving a day earlier and spending an extra night:banana::banana::banana: So only 8 days here now!!!
