FE will be outside these rooms

I will definitely update the info on the list--looks like the youngest girl's name got crossed out by the Disboards filter though. Can you give names for the Mom, Dad and Grammy?

Ok we officially have 15 cabins in the FE exchange; 1 more cabin and I will split the list into 2 groups.

Only 4 responses so far to the poll above re: when to close the list. If you have an opinion and haven't weighed in yet, please do so. The poll closes on Friday. Thanks!

Getting really excited! Purchased a bunch of great stuff on eBay for the moms. Also got some magnetic paper I may try my hand at some family magnets. I love decorating our door. We even picked up a pirate flag along the way somewhere for pirate night.

If we pick days for distribution (which i think is a very good idea on a 7 day cruise, because if we dont everyone will distribute day one or 2 leaving overflowing FE's and disappointed kids on day 5 & 6) Id like to request going sooner because i have an item for girls and moms that they may want to use during cruise

Now that most of the holidays are over, it's back to cruise planning. I noticed a post on the DIS about DCL strictly enforcing the age limits for the clubs. My DD turns 18 a few days before we sail. I hope there will be enough for her to do and at least a couple of kids she can hang out with. I know that they have a "college aged" meet but I've read that this group is usually not very large. Does anyone have kids sailing in this age group?

Hey there Fellow Cruisers!!
Sorry I've been absent from the boards lately--got kind of caught up in holiday and end-of-the-year stuff.

The good news is that we are 6 weeks and 1 day from our Sail Date!

For anyone who might still be thinking about the FE, we will plan to close the List TOMORROW, January 7, 2012. That will give everyone 6 weeks to finish up their extenders and gifts. It sounds like several people would like to have days assigned, so I will pull together something that has the days assigned, but folks can switch with others if anyone has a strong preference for a particular day.

Welcome Lynn! I will check with the other folks who are in the FE to see what they think. You would tip our total number of cabins to 16, which would mean splitting the group into 2 separate lists--this actually may be a good thing for folks as it limits the total number of cabins you have to visit. Many of us are over on the private Facebook group, so I will forward you the link for that as well, if you are interested.

I will let you know ASAP about the FE thing, but I am hopeful that we can work something out.

I'm just joining today too and realized I'm a couple days too late...am I? My kids (Megan 8 and Lisa 7) would love to join the bunch! I had no idea this happened, never really noticed on our other cruises. We promise to give good gifts! B)

Well I've heard back from almost everyone, and the general consensus seems to be 'The more the merrier!' so we will be able to include both Wolfcat's cabin and goodguy23's cabin.

This means that the original list will be split into 2 lists, so that the number of cabins doesn't become overwhelming. I am going to start working on that now; I will try to group similar ages of kids where possible, but no guarantees.

If anyone wants to switch their group or wants to be a part of both groups, please just private message me here or on Facebook. For now I am going to assume that folks with multiple cabins want to be kept together (though that will mean fewer 'gift opportunities' for those cabins)--again if you want 1 of your cabins in 1 list and the other cabin in another list, please let me know.

Hope that all makes sense...

Tonight is ABSOLUTELY the last call for the FE--we want people to have enough time to pull their gifts together without feeling stressed about it. Any late comers are welcome to organize a separate FE amongst themselves.

Questions, issues, or thoughts--please don't hesitate to post them.

Also, just wanted to remind those of you who haven't already joined, we have a group over on Facebook too--it is more private than here on the DIS, and there is a fair amount of posting over there. PM me for the link if you are interested (if you don't have enough posts yet to PM, you could just make a few random posts, or indicate your interest here in the main thread and then I will PM you).

Please post your stateroom numbers, and the first names of the adults (and kids Lynn if you are comfortable posting them here. If not you can post them on the Facebook page), and any restrictions (food allergies, etc) I will add your families to the lists.

Here is my first attempt to divide our group into 2 lists. This is a work in progress, so if you want to be in the other group instead of or in addition to the one you are currently in, please just let me know (e.g. I really wanted to be on both lists, since I have the stuff to give already for the full list) For everyone's peace of mind I've left names off of this first list---I do have a master list with names that I will send out to folks individually once we all agree that the list is complete.

Here is the key, such as it is:
AF=Adult Female AM=Adult Male DD=DearDaughter DS=DearSon
The cruise day listed is the day you are to deliver your gifts--again if you want to switch with someone just let me know that it is ok with them and I will take care of it no problem. If you have a day you hate and can't find anyone to switch with you no worries, I can just move you
