It really is hard to believe, isn't it Sue, when we booked I thought that it would never come, and now it is basically 6 short weeks away.
We made a chain a few weeks ago, with all of our favorite things about the cruise, and every night at dinner read one, last night was towel animal. It is so much fun tho see the chain getting smaller and to hear what our favorite things are, we all wrote things independently. The girls suprise me at times, one of Emilie was Lobster Tails.......

Thanks for the link from kid's thread to adult thread. We are new to threads and were directed here by our "experienced" friends. Please let us know what we are doing wrong if we mess up.

This is our first cruise and we will be traveling with our 3 daughters 10,7,5.

Our kids have also started posting in the kid thread.

Where do you find the code for abbreviations?

:welcome:

You will love the cruise, it's a great time.

Here's a link for abbreviations. Many are there, but don't ever be afraid to ask what one means. New ones pop up all the time! http://www.wdwinfo.com/abbreviations.htm

I suggest reading through the posts on this thread and on the main cruise forum. There is so much info here, and you'll be a pro in no time. If you read up a few posts to post #639, you'll see we are keeping a list of our group. If you want to be added to it, just PM me (send a personal message by clicking my screen name. The "send a personal message" choice can be found there.).
One of my sons is 10, he saw your daughter's post. He's so excited t make some friends before we cruise.

HI Sue and fellow cruisers! The system won't yet let me PM anyone, as I don't have enough posts...but I'm working on it! In the meantime, please include us on your list with our two DDs: Sammy (10) and Katie(7).

Any idea when we should expect to receive cruise documents?:confused3
My kids are getting so excited! Myself and DH too!

... about 2 weeks before the sail date...

Since we will be at WDW a week before we cruise, we opted to pick-up our documents at the port. I didn't want to take the chance that we wouldn't receive them before we left home. I hope it won't be a hassle when we get to port.

I have to move us up as the kids thread is more active than ours.....
It is nice and warm here 61 degree, which is nuts it should be 20 and snowing, we all want to go skiing and there is no way that it is happening any time soon.

We've done documents at the port (when I booked on Thursday and sailed on Sat.) It is really no hassle at all. They normally come 14-21 days ahead. I've always gotten them in time for a week at WDW first when we had that planned. And I still have to get DD onto the kid's thread.....

I just checked Orbitz--they are showing very little cabin availability for our cruise, but DCL is still showing a fair amount open...interesting.

I've been a busy little elf or fairy . . . depending how you want to look at it.

With the exception of four boys names (Danny, Daniel, DJ and Alex), I have made a graphic for the children on our cruise (for those that provided names to Sue). I'll get the last 4 names done this week and then repost.

The graphic can be used to embellish the hem edge of a pillowcase to be taken to Guest Services for character signing on the ship. It can also be used for door signs.

Head over to the Creative DISigns forum here on the disboard for tips on how to flip the design prior to printing (if you're going to use it on a pillowcase or shirt), transfer papers, etc.

The way the graphic was made, it should fit in the hem section of the pillowcase but check it carefully to be sure before printing it on the transfer paper. You may need to adjust the size (scale) slightly.

All of the names can be seen in the gallery at http://lneal.com/disboard. The full size file that you need to download is in the directory http://lneal.com/disboard/file. Right click on your child's name to save the file to your computer (from the http://lneal.com/disboard/file directory). Using a gif image was necessary to maintain the transparency of the image in the event you use the transfer on a colored fabric.

Sue -- send me any additional names that aren't included in the 18 I already have.

Happy Holidays February cruisers!!!

Lisa

Lisa have you updated the kids list yet? I really want to surprise my kids with this great pillow case or T shirt....

Sue, if your boys would like to send email to mine, they are welcome to use the email address I sent to you.

Can hardly believe that we are only just over a month out until we leave....

Not much left for us to do to get ready, all the online forms have been completed and printed...Just now have to wait for the time to start packing...

Can hardly wait for some warm weather...

 :yay: :cool1: :woohoo:

Figured I would do my part in helping keep our threat ahead of the kids...:lmao: :rotfl:

...and we are waiting for some winter weather! It was 70 degrees here on Saturday. Crazy, it should be in the low 30's. We have no snow, my grass is still green, and the ski areas can't even make snow most of the time. Not fun. I actually miss winter. NOw that I have said that, we are sure to get a Northeaster sometime soon--as long as it is not the day we fly out, not a problem :)

I know what you mean about the snow. It is cold, but there is no snow, what we had melted in our last Chinook. With no snow here, everything looks so dirty... You look outside and you see brown. Can make it very depressing. At least the days are started to get longer, so at least I can see some daylight now. No more going to work in the dark and coming home in the dark.

Good Morning all,

Is everybody as excited as I am? :cool1: We will be leaving in 30 days for WDW and I have so much to do as well as nagging everyone else, in our party, to get organized. I'm also having the hardest time not bugging the Officiant, Wedding Planner & resturant where we are having the reception. It's a small wedding but because I can't be there to control everything, I'm going nuts. :scared: Yes, I (according to my family) am a control freak and like things to go perfectly. My soon to be DH says that he will be so nervous :scared1: on our wedding day. Let me ask you, what does he have to be nervous about!!!! I made all the plans, made all the arrangments, am packing all of the boxes to be shipped, bugging everybody to do what needs to be done & he gets to sit at the pool all day till he says "I Do". MEN! :confused3

OK, enough ranting. Just understand that everytime any of you see me, I will have a drink in my hand. :cool1:

Lisa, I would love for you to update the ship picture and then tell me how to get it transferred to tee shirts.

We too are getting excited and talk about the cruise all the time. I am having second thoughts to going on the banana boat excursion  at CC. Having read that the water may be cold in Feb., I am thinking this may not be a great choice. The rest of the family is still up for it, so I guess I will think positive. My girls, Hannah and Olivia, are posting on the kid/teen thread, they have their own sn. That was a great idea to create a thread for them. I am mentally making a list of things to do/pick up before the trip. I want to get a picture mat for signatures and I think we will try the over the door hanger, although DH rolls his eyes at that idea. Debbie, good luck having all your wedding plans come together smoothly. I would also be stressing out.
Donna

 39 days!!

Another milestone!!

Debbie-it will all fall into place, just enjoy. Mistakes are the things you will laugh about--like when our priest called my DH Donald instead of Dave (we were married in my church). On the video we are all looking shell shocked, but being the take charge person, I was the one who corrected him. We still laugh about it now, and wonder if our marriage would have been legal, LOL.
You are so lucky to be getting married in the world! Just being there will make your day extra special. I can't wait to hear about it.
