February 17, 2007

Hi everyone! For those of you that have already done the eastern itinerary, do you have any excursion advice? I am really stuck on what to do! I've got it narrowed down to Rhino Riders or Golden Eagle Catamaran for St. Maarten, and Trunk Bay snorkeling or the Doubloon Sailing snorkel on St. Thomas/ St. John.

I'm really keeping my fingers crossed that our school break falls during Presient's week next year, or I'll be back to square one as far as planning. If we have to switch weeks, I'm not sure if we would do the western again, or hold off on cruising until we could do something different.

To those of you planning on going to WDW this year, how are your plans coming along? I finally have everything in place for that trip. :cool1: Now I just have to wait!

Enjoy what's left of your weekend!

Kelly

I am all set for President's week this year, I have my resevations for meals.
For excursion next year, I still am not sure, my husband will go scuba diving in Both ports, the girls and I probably will just take the water taxi in St Martin and go to the beach there, for St Thomas I am thinking of the Doublon Sail and Snorkel tour...
The planning is part of the fun for me, so I really enkoy thinking about it, my husband thinks that I am absolutely nuts, but he really enjoys the facts that all our vacation really go smoothly.

I was all set on the Doubloon Sail excursion, until I saw pictures of Trunk Bay. It looks so beautiful! I have read some great things about the Doubloon, though, and it sounds like a blast! Now I am completely undecided!

Bumping up!

So, is everyone ready for the holidays? Today is our first day off school, and I have some major shopping to do! In addition to the holidays, DS turns 16 the day after Christmas, so I have his birthday stuff I have to get in order as well.

And what am I doing? Sitting here on the DIS! Guess I better get moving here!

Happy holidays to all of you!
Kelly

I'm so ready for the holidays! Hall are decked, gifts wrapped. 2 days of school left (including today). I'm looking forward to us all being home together for a whole week! (DH took the week off!!)
May you all enjoy the family time this season!

Just think...not to long our tickers will say less than a year!! I can't wait to see it on 2/17/06!!

Hopefully more DISSers will join the thread as we get closer :goodvibes

Happy New Year anyone, I figure now that we are "only" a year away, we really can start planning........

OK back again. We were at WDW over Christmas, but with BIL and that made all the difference. We will go again over Feb vacation, staying at a condo in Windsor Palms and I hope to do everything I didn't do over Christmas. And I will be ever so happy if Expedition Everest has another soft opening.

Well, I'm calling tomorrow to cancel our cruise. We have decided to plan a 2007 trip to Hawaii instead. We've been on 3 DCL cruises and loved them all, but are looking forward to experiencing something new. None of us have been to Hawaii and this might be our last chance to go as a family before DS #1 graduates from high school. I hope you all have a fantastic cruise, and will be thinking of you guys when February 17 rolls around!

Happy planning!

That sounds good it will assure me an upgrade to a verandah, no wait for characters, a good spot to watch the shows, and prime seat at the pool :cool1:

OK Sue (mom of three boys) the Allegiant schedule (only four days a week) is available at www.allegiantair.com They didn't start flying until January, so that may have been part of the trouble in finding them.

DH and I are celebrating 35 years of marriage this August and I think we're going to go on a Norwegian cruise around the Hawaiian Islands. Neither of us has ever been to Hawaii and I figure this is a good way to do it. We did cruise on the Norwegian Majesty to Bermuda out of Boston so I have an idea of what the differences are between Disney and Norwegian. Now I just have to figure out how to pay for both cruises!

Thanks Debbie
I was avble to find Allegiant's site and book for our upcoming trip a few weeks ago. The cost was still high, but was cheaper than any flight out of Manchester. I am sure it is mainly because we are going during April vacation. I hope it works out well. Worcester is just as convenient as Manchester for us. It will definitely give us more options!
Hawaii sound so nice. We hope to do that trip on our 25th. Please let me know how it goes. We are a few years out, but are researching different lines.
Thanks again for the info!
~Sue

OK, I am ready to go on this cruise right now, 1 year is starting to seem like a long time to wait. My older DD is convinced that we are actually going on a cruise this February instead of WDW, boy is she going to be surprised that we are "only" going to WDW......
We have surprised the kids with a number of trip in the past, and I think that now they keep expecting surprises.

YES! I wish I was planning for DCL rather than WDW. I know I'd come home more relaxed!

We are sitting here in MCO right now waiting for our 10:30 am flight

We booked 2 cat 6 for next year

So count us in ......

Our Dis meet did not go off as planed but a handful of us wound up finding each other on the boat . It was nice to meet the familes we have been talking to for almost a year ...
