For those of you who are currently assigned late dining but asked to be waitlisted for main dining, don't give up! Just happened to look at my reservation tonight and it says "Main Dining 6pm". They must have changed it today. Didn't get an upgrade(unless you count a Cat 12 to an 11) but at least Disney came through for the dining time.

Don't forget chat is scheduled in Room #2 of the DIS Website for Friday, Jan 20th @ 10pm EST. If you haven't joined us yet, you're missing out on a lot of fun and great ideas.

It's been great seeing all the photos and putting faces with names. Makes it seem so much more real and so fast approaching!

Got the other half of our docs today for the other cabin. So much running around to do yet--should be an interesting few weeks.

Talk to you soon-

Dean

Hi Julie,

It was nice to see your picture. I know what you mean about the Key West website. There are so many choices. We had been thinking about renting an electric car the day we are there, but the Bone Island Shuttle looks pretty convenient. It seems like it stops at all the main locations and you can get off and on wherever you want to. We may do that instead as it is a lot less expensive then renting a car. We are definitely going to try to get to the Pirate, Shipwreck and Mel Fisher Museums. Scott would also really like to get a peak at the Ernest Hemingway House but I'm afraid that would be very boring for the kids. The Aquarium and Butterfly Conservancy sound great too, but I'm not sure we will have time to do everything so our plan is to start with the top things on our list and go from there as time allows.

Thanks for the chat reminder! I am looking forward to talking with everyone. Here's hoping many more of you get your documents tomorrow!

The last time that I was in Key West I just took a trolley tour and did the bars (of course I didn't have any kids with me) we also had to get the key lime on the stick dipped in chocolate - Yummy!!

Anyway, as we have the kids with us this time I just found a museum on Front Street called Pirate Soul it looks like fun, if we have time we might do this.

Right now though I think that we are probably going to take the kids to the Aquarium and on a trolley tour, of course look for key lime pie on a stick as well as take the kids pictures in front of a Banyan Tree (We don't have them here in Canada and they are quite unusual looking).

Mbiz1 - Thanks for the heads up on the dining. I checked and we were also switched to main dining 6pm.

I've enjoyed getting the pictures. I won't make the chat. I have a mother/son(s) campout with my kids cub scout group tonight.

The only thing I know for sure that we'll be doing in Key West is the Pirate Soul museum and key lime!

Still waiting on documents.....

I just checked our seating and we are still at late seating. I requested early in July but I guess we received an upgrade on our cabin so I can't complain.
Still no documents. :worried:

Just bumping this up! We were getting too far back.
Enjoyed the Friday night chat! :rotfl:

Hey Randi! Just bumping your bump. It was a great chat Friday. I am starting to sort out our clothes for packing but I'm having a hard time making decisions. I wish I had a crystal ball to see what our weather will be like. Here's hoping it's warm and beautiful.

I've been sorting too! Having the big garage sale helped that along! It was very successful by the way!! Thanx for all the good wishes! They worked! We made 450.00! Naturally, I felt the need to shop after after purging all the old stuff!! :rotfl: Got some good stuff at "The Rack", including some "way hot" shoes for my formal, boardshorts for the guys and some comfy loungewear/jammies that I can wear to go out for morning goodies, late nite snacks or to the movies! We did that last time! Went to the movies in our jammies! It was so great! I can't wait to get on that ship!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Congrats on the successful garage sale Lisa. I wish I could get myself organized enough to have one. I've got lots of stuff I need to shop for too. Most of the clothes that my son wore on the last cruise are now too small and it was only six months ago. I swear that kid grows overnight. He has just moved up into men's sizes and suddenly his clothes are costing me a fortune, not to mention the new shoes he seems to need every few months. The good news is that at least when we are on the cruise he can eat to his heart's content and I don't have to replenish the fridge everyday. Ahhh, a week with no grocery shopping. Just another reason I can't wait to get on our cruise!

Hey all--chat was once again a lot of fun. I'm glad that Lisa (GotMouse?) was able to finally join us---congrats on the garage sale by the way. Also I noticed that Kathy (mzbiz1) was trying to join in but kept entering and exiting the room. I didn't realize that you had tried to send me a private message until I logged on today. Hopefully we can get you there for the next one. Still have to figure out when that will be as my schedule is pretty crazy this week. I'll let you know soon. I think we have a great group of people going on this cruise! Really looking forward to meeting you all in person.

We still have not set a TIME for our meet after the sailaway party. Since I haven't cruised yet, not sure what would be good so I'm looking for someone to fill the position of "Asst Julie McCoy" and offer up a suggested time.

Thanks-

Dean

Well if I look out my window right now it is snow covered. Makes me want to get on that plane even more. 11 SLEEPS!! :bounce:

Geez, I can't believe that I didn't remember the chat on Friday night! Where was my mind?? I even had it in my PDA. Must have been the packing for Cub Scout Snow day the next morning...

Got my documents yesterday from Travelocity. Now its REAL! :cheer2:

What was the Key West link again that someone was talking about?

Thanks, all. See you soon!
