February 10th 2013 ~ 4 Night Dreamy Dream Cruise!

My husband and I are sailing on this one! This is our first Disney cruise...I can't even WAIT!!! I'll have my Mardi Gras beads though for Tuesday :joker:
Feeling like this :badpc: about now!

This will be our 4th Disney cruise, but our first during winter months. I'm familiar with what to pack as far as dining, etc., but I'm wondering about what to pack in regards to weather. We usually spend all day in swimsuits and coverups. Is that going to work in February? Or will we need jeans, long sleeves, etc.?

For those participating in the FE Group the link to the final list w/ map is on page # 9...... post # 139

I look forward to meeting everyone at the meet and greet

Ellen

Ellen, thank you so much for organizing the FE lists! Amazing!
We are having so much fun making our gifts!!!
Can't wait!!!!

I am realizing how much luggage space my fish extender gifts are going to take! Do you pack them in your carry on? Can you get them shipped somewhere that would be cheaper than luggage charge?

Thanks Ellen for organizing!

Ellen, just noticed my name is marked as Kelly and should be Sarah on the fish extender delivery list.
Thanks!
Sarah

For all those participating in the FE Group......Please make the following name change on list.

Cabin # 6090 s/b Sarah not Kelly

I will post the new list as soon as I can get it corrected

Ellen

Thank you Ellen! I appreciate all the time you are putting into this!
We are super excited about the FE group. It's our first cruise. :goodvibes

We are very excited!! It is getting so close. 5 days in WDW and then 4 days of relaxation on the DCL. It was fun getiing FE gifts, but it was a pain organizing it. I organized mine according to stateroom. I brought colored bags by deck so my girls can deliver the goodies for me without confusion. How are you guys organizing or plannning the packing of the FE items? Open to any veteran FE ideas.:hyper:

I have prepared all my FE gifts and packed them in a XL Vera Bradley bag I just bought.
Right now I have them all in individual bags with each cabin marked on a bigger bag. I will put my tags on when I get on the ship and deliver them first night.

I look forward to seeing everyone at the "MEET and GREET"

Is the meet and greet strictly for those participating in the FE?

I'm thinking anyone can join in on the meet and greet. At least that's what we've done in the past. The more the merrier! I am going to try to make it for at least a few minutes.
Two weeks! Wohoo!

I'm getting excited!!! Just received my cruise packet today and I'm really looking forward to my first solo vacation!!! :)

How is everyone's health doing?

My husband had a bad cold last week, my son got it mid week and now my other two kiddos have now come down with stuffy noses. I am seeing it as a blessing at this point that they have it now, and not later.
12 days until we fly out and that sounds like a good amount of time for them to recover and be ready to roll. We all had flu shots this year already and are currently hitting the vitamins.

I am still healthy at this point. Knock on wood. Airborne is going to be my friend at the first sign of anything.

Praying for everyone's health on board! Keep eating healthy, wash your hands, and get good sleep and exersize to deal with stress, your body will thank you! (I am mainly giving myself a pep-talk.) :thumbsup2

How is your family feeling?

How is your family feeling?

So far, so good..........keeping fingers crossed! I got my flu shot earlier this month. Wishing everyone a healthy next few weeks!:goodvibes

The suitcases are starting to get packed! I have my motion sickness meds ready to go! I learned my lesson and I'm not taking any chances on getting sea sick.

Here's a little tip I would like to share with those of you who experience motion sickness. I've cruised out of Port Canaveral 5 times in the month of June and once last February. I noticed the movement of the water more on the Feb. cruise than on all my June cruises.... mainly when we left Port Canaveral and then on the last night heading back to port. Don't let the calm seas on sea day fool you into thinking you don't need your motion sickness medicine (for those who need it). I skipped it one night (the second to last night) and paid for it the following night (the last night heading back to port) when we started cruising at a faster speed. Luckily I didn't get sick, but I did start to feel real bad. I let the meds get out of my system by not taking it the night before because the water was calm at the time. Lesson learned.........don't skip any days no matter how calm the water is. I have always taken the motion sickness meds around the clock on my other 5 cruises and the ONE time I skipped a dose, I started feeling ill.
