Hi Cami - Welcome aboard . . . what part of Minnesota are you from? We are about 20 miles north of Minneapolis.

Not sure about the seasickness . . . we are bringing Bonine and the wrist things . . . thinking about also looking for ginger capsuls . . . DD would get sick in the car when she was young, or at least we think she did . . . we have now realized that she gets sick when she drinks fruit punch so now I'm not sure if every time she was "car sick" if she really had fruit punch . . . so time will tell.

Is the crud going around out there? DS had 102 fever for 5 days . . . ended up with bronchitis . . . five kids out in his class . . . 6 other parents at work had kids out with high fevers . . . seems to be a 5-6 day thing . . . We are praying everyone stays healthy. I'm washing my hands so much !!!!

Having a real hard time focussing on work . . . Way to much to get done so I can be gone for 8 days!!! (12 including weekends!!!!!) REally need to focus . . . oh well

YES !!! The crud is going around here extremely bad in So California. Everyone at my work has missed 2-3 days this month due to it. We are all on Airborne and vitamins -- unfortunately I woke up sick this morning.

Hello Again Everyone.

Well, the debacle continues. Mother and I are definately going to be on the ship. Doesn't look like we will have a room, though. Evidently there were 14 rooms still unsold yesterday. Anyone have any idea if there are lots of people who will book between now and the 10th? I wouldn't think it would be that many people, but I guess I may be wrong. So, hopefully we will get lucky and only 13 more will book.

Glad things are working out for you and your mom. I can't imagine 14 more rooms being filled in 10 days. How would anyone have time to plan??!!?!?! OK, all kidding aside, that does seem a stretch. We'll keep all our fingers and toes crossed that you get a room!!

I'm not posting this to make anyone feel guilty or uncomfortable and if it does, I apologize.

While researching Cozumel and what kind of shape it was in post-Wilma, I came across The Chrysalis Group on a local Coz board.

The Cozumel Chrysalis Group is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing financial scholastic support for the island's students. Mexican public school students pay a registration fee and must provide their own uniforms, classroom supplies and some books. Many families in Cozumel lack the financial ability to send their children to school. The Cozumel Chrysalis Group assists those students who show a desire to better their lives through education, so that they can meet and maintain established academic standards.

Our organization began by assisting 16 students in 1995, and in 10 years that number has grown to over 250! Once a child has entered our program, they receive assistance throughout their school years. Additional assistance is always welcome!​

There was a lot of "talk" on the board about this great group. The Americans who run the mini-golf in town are pretty involved and spoke about how much good this organization does.

It got me thinking (again) about how truly fortunate we are. I like to point this out to Conor now and again as he is surrounded by our comfortable middle-class lifestyle and has such little exposure to those less fortunate to him. He takes so much for granted. And to an extent as it should be--he is a kid. At the same time, I think he needs to be aware.

Anyway, I contacted Chrysalis by email asking for a list of their current needs. I'll post the response in case any of you are interested. Donations can be dropped off at either the downtown mini-golf or Paradise Beach. We were planning on spending the morning at Paradise Beach and possibly playing mini-golf in the afternoon, so I can't believe how well this fit into our plans. If anyone else is interested in donating an item or two, I would happily drop it off for you.

I always tend to be a little (or a lot) leery of agencies that only want money as you are never sure what amount actually reaches the people in need. I like the concept of donating items that will be used exclusively by the children.

Thank you Deb. Now that I've finally got the shoe organizer- picking up a few of these things should be a snap. I will have to give them to you for delivery though - as I believe our entire day in Cozumel is booked.

I picked up my docs at the TA's office. It seems I have ground transportation. I did not want it. We were planning on driving to PC, spending the night there and returning car in am. Do you think if I called DCL they could transfer credit to room? Does this ground transportation mean the bus? I'd call them and ask, especially since you are not really requesting a refund--they're just getting your money via a different route.

Was able to book the East Bound Panama Cruise today for the whole family, the kids are soooooooooooo excited, older as well as younger. We leave in two days, we'll make sure the ship is in excellent condition.

It is so important to teach kids now a days about Community Service. Every year I make my kids do some type of Community service or Charity work. My daughter Madison has for the past 2 years raised a significant amount of money for the Make A Wish foundation through the San Diego Chargers. My son Spencer has also raised money for the ALS foundation. Him and some friends at the day care they go to organized a sale of Pokemon cards and also organized a car wash. Sorry for the long post -- but it's important to show kids the other things in life.

That's too funny! A few nights ago, I woke up in the middle of the night and starting thinking about the cruise and thought "I didn't put the Downy wrinkle release stuff on the list!" It is now on my list of things to get this weekend. I swear I have never thought of Downy so much in my life!! Things are constantly popping up in my head when I should be asleep!! You're not alone!!

I am an early riser to begin with - now I am waking up at 4:00!

This morning it was the pirate costume.
need Sash - red and white striped - think my mom has an old flannel sheet like that... white shirt -puffy sleeves. make a list. make two - to buy, to do.

At this rate I will be a wreck by Thursday. I'll have perfect hands and perfect toes and big black circles under my eyes too!
