We decided to make plans last minute so booked our first cruise...ever. Didn't get a good room but it will be a getaway for us and our son (8) and daughter (5). I'm usually an obsessive planner so I've already have scoured the Disney travel books and websites in the short time since deciding to do this. It seems like the perfect last minute plan...very little to worry about as far as reservations. We can survive without the major excursions.![]()
My big fear is seasickness. It's why we've never been on a cruise before. I read that the waters can be rough around Castaway Cay...more often in Jan & Feb. Does that mean rough seas in general for some of the trip?
I'm thinking daily dose of Bonine and bringing the patch. My DH is physician so we'll see if he'll support my idea of preventative medicine vs reactive treatment.
Any advice?
thanks!

Hi Cami - Welcome aboard . . . what part of Minnesota are you from? We are about 20 miles north of Minneapolis.
Not sure about the seasickness . . . we are bringing Bonine and the wrist things . . . thinking about also looking for ginger capsuls . . . DD would get sick in the car when she was young, or at least we think she did . . . we have now realized that she gets sick when she drinks fruit punch so now I'm not sure if every time she was "car sick" if she really had fruit punch . . .

Is the crud going around out there? DS had 102 fever

Having a real hard time focussing on work . . . Way to much to get done so I can be gone for 8 days!!! (12 including weekends!!!!!) REally need to focus . . . oh well
