Its just the ear for the non potty trained kids. I did see they added a splash area on the Wonder (too bad it wasn't the magic because it looked really cute)!

Tracy,

I can feel your pain in regaurds to your in laws. We too are going with my in laws and I don't think my father in law wants to go either. It seems he is pretty stressed out about the whole thing. At first, my mother in law wasn't a fan of doing a Disney cruise. She wanted to do RC or Princess, she thought Disney was too much money and didn't think adults would have fun. However my sister-in law ( who is also going) and I have warmed her up to the idea so I think she is excited now. Even my husband, isn't all that excited. We have done Disney World every year for so many years now that he says he is sick of MickyMouse. That combined with the cost of this trip, is bringing his excitment level down. He better get used to it b/c he is totally out numbered with the amount of Micky fans in this house!!:rotfl2:

DJ - I understand your worries and your wanting everybody to be as excited as you are. Trust me, though, your in-laws will be smiling ear to ear by the end of day one. I met people last time I cruised that were in their 70's, without grandchildren or anybody else, who said they take a Disney Cruise EVERY year and wouldn't think of doing anything else. Contrary to popular belief, not everything is kid-oriented or character-oriented. I feel secure they will have a blast.

Last time we went my DH was not at all excited and I was worried he'd be huffing at all the money we spent "for nothing". Paaa! That sentiment was out the door the second people started greeting us and the CMs were all so friendly.

tjeagle - Lord but it's cold here. I want our 70 degrees back!!

I agree, also, about not worrying how your kids will act in the restaurant. All of ours were little once too and we all understand. If there's anything any one of your kids specifically likes to eat, mention it to your server and chances are they'll present it to keep your kids happy and maybe even distracted. Especially if you'd be willing to allow them to have Mickey bars with heaps of sprinkles while you and your DH eat in peace. I've never seen a kid not sit still for a Mickey bar.

lol on the fil's.. men.. my dh.. finally agreed last year that it was time to WDW since our dd was 5.. so i then learned about the land and sea. he is a workaholic and grumpily agreed. he didn't think he'd like being on a cruise ship at ALL. geez,.. i wanted to pull my hair out.. he.. loved it. LOVED IT.. the day we were on Castaway Cay.. i actually saw this kinda relaxed smile on his most of the time emotionless face.. and i said, you look happy.. he said, I could live on this island.. he booked (insisted) our cruise, this one.. while we were still on board. if my dh, the cynical, cheap wad, workaholic can give the DCL rave reviews.. wow.. that's major kudo's.. and now he has his older daughter, her husband and our grand daughter going with us too..

both of the fil's will be pleasantly surprised.

I had to laugh out loud at that line!

Anyway, my in laws are extrememly emotionless. I really want them to have a good time. To see my FIL actually having a good time and not watching Nascar would be amazing!

2 weeks and I'll find out!

glad i made you laugh flmom.. i wasn't laughing at you.. but with you.. i'm glad you took it that way.. my mr. grumpy.. gotta love him.. he's probably in the same age bracket as your inlaws.. he's on the downside of 50.. lol

it's always fun making hotel reservations, 1 young child, one full pricer (me) and one AARP member..

he is very excited about this cruise. he thinks he is dcl pro.. and one of his favorite things, as he is a old prissy cowboy.. is the $15.00 spa treatment of the saunas and showers.. he swears by them, for muscle relaxation and clearing the sinuses.

My inlaws are 60 and 56 and never even took vacations till we begged them to go to WDW 3 years ago. That was actually the first time my FIL had ever been on a plane.

Now I feel like we are making them come on this trip....but I just want them to live a little, go to new places, etc.

I got my FIL to do the Ecco tour with my husband at Castaway Cay....it ought to be a sight seeing them both on Jet Ski's. :rotfl2:

Well I just got back from our local Disney Store where they were having a 50% off already reduced merchandise. I got the kids new "Cars" pj's for the cruise as well as matching t-shirts - they were all $5 (Canadian!) each. Also picked up my DD (3) some princess slippers. I'm all set :)

Bring on the cruise!!
:cool1:

Just back from doctor. Son has influenza like symptoms. Great!!!! We got the ol' Zithromax. I hope it doesnt spread around our house. If it does I hope it hurries so we can get it out of our system

Dumn question here....I am assuming REPO means repeat cruise, right? Is that the cruise they try to get you to book while on board? Do you get a discount or something? Everyone keeps talking about this REPO cruise.....

Dont' know if anyone answered this yet...(just in from work, I haven't read through all the threads ...you guys are chatty during the day!)

The REPO is the Repositioning cruises, they have them when repositioning from FL to Europe and back, and now from FL to LA in 2008!

Heeeelllllllllooooooooo!!?? Where'd everyone go?? So much chattin until I finally get on line!!

Well, in light of the huge layover on the disembarkation day. I am rethinking about us using the $59pp DCL transfers from WDW>PC>MCO. From POR, I can get luxury van shuttle for a little more and we'll get to the terminal hours earlier (even though we have to schlep our own luggage). Then on the disembarkation day, we can rent a car from Budget at PC and do the Cocoa beach thing and have a nice lunch somewhere before getting to the terminal. One thing is, I'm not sure the rental will hold 4pcs of luggage plus we'd have to worry about car seats, etc...

Thinking, thinking... time is running out...

How many car seats??
On my trip in Nov. we fit 3 cases in the trunk (2 large and 1 med) of a sedan type car we rented. The other large bag squeezed in the back seat and a med carry on was on my lap!! Cozy!!
What about renting a mini van?

I don't want this dilemma to become a spending ($$$) and logistics debacle.

Oh BTW, our TA called us late this afternoon and said that she spoke to DCL and they were couriering the document packages tomorrow.

So presumably, they'll arrive at the TA for Monday for our pick-up.

I can hardly believe how close it is!!! Now that it almost here I can't believe it. What do you all do about sea sickness for you and your kids?

I have a check up scheduled for Leah next Tues. (although, the way she is coughing right now, she may go tomorrow!!) I intend to talk to them about sea sick prevention then! I myself take Bonine daily...just in case!!;)

Sarah is going in tomorrow. I had them both scheduled for a check up already. I pushed Jacob up to today. She recommended the arm bands.Let me know if your Doc says something else, please.
I will do Bonine. Can I consume alcohol on that?(haha)
A friend told me strep is going around preschool, would I be a bad Mom if I kept her out of school?:rolleyes1
