Hey all -

I've missed another busy day on the board.

I slept in to try to ward off my scratchy throat and stuffy nose. UGH!!! I need some sunshine! I'm loading the kids up w/ vitamin C and airborne trying to keep them healthy! I figure a few martinis, margaritas and whatever else comes my way should knock the germs out, right?!

We went out and ran last-minute errands. More film, batteries, more film, etc. I hit two dollar stores and had no luck finding the over-the-door shoe holders; hope someone else had better luck.

I have to get the house cleaned up because my MIL is coming tomorrow - exactly what I need while I'm trying to get us organized to go on vacation, right?!?!? AARRGGHH!!!! The woman NEVER comes to our house (she couldn't possible drive the 2 hours!), and NOW she's coming?!?!? I'm going to try to put my DH in charge of cleaning so I can work on packing. Wish me luck!

Hey Jackie - I had a "what not to wear" meltdown last night when they said short people shouldn't wear capris b/c they make you look shorter. Ummm...I'm going to look VERY short on the cruise then b/c that's all I have!!!! Oh well! It's either short or nekkid, right? I guess I'll go with short!!

OK...I'm going to get dinner ready.

I just watched the Magic sail off for the last time without us!!!! Next time I see that ship I'll be on her and that will be me that people are seeing on the webcam.

My DH and DD's are about ready to shoot me with the "next week at this time we will be....." I'm so excited even though this is my 3rd DCL cruise and our previous cruise was only 10 months ago.

I don't have my cruise docs and won't be getting them until sometime next week. Our travel agent is on vacation and won't be back until Monday. My parents are leaving then so they are all in a tizzy that they don't have their luggage tags. I had them call Disney and calm them down. For some reason, my mother never believes anything I tell her. I told her all she needs is the cruise docs from the internet (which I helped them print at Thanksgiving) and their room number so the porter can place luggage tags on their luggage at the port. No, no..I don't know what I'm talking about. So I told her to call DCL. And guess what...I was right. This is their third time cruising with us also so I don't know why she was so worried. It does bother me that she never believes me, especially since I was such a good kid and never got into trouble or lied to her (really, I was good...maybe a few white lies). It still gets to me though that she never believes anything I tell her. Sorry, needed to vent.

Anyway, the problem becomes that when our TA got back to my mom, she lied and said the cruise docs come directly from DCL and she'll see if she can intervene and get the docs and send them to me. Since my mom called DCL, they said that the docs were sent out on the 20th to the TA. My TA has booked all three cruises for us and I met her on a website (and she sponsors a board on another website) so she knows I have all my info and would catch her in this lie. But the biggest disappointment is that this month, my name is in a popular family magazine on vacations with HER also. She hooked me up with this writer who was doing a story on multi-generational vacations. I saw the article this week when I was at the Library. Yep, my name and quotes were there along with her in the same paragraph. UGH. I guess I'll be searching for another TA when I get back and transfer my next cruise ressies.

I need to start organizing everyone's clothes. I ordered a ton of clothes from Penney's since they had free shipping and I'd figure I'd try them on at home and take back what I don't need. The box was huge. My kids could fit in it! My DH just shook his head. Good thing we are taking off from work on Friday.

awwww queenbee..lol on the capris.. i'm the opposite.. that capris are great for me.. and even some things that aren't supposed to be capris are capris on me.. i have a problem with short skirts.. what is cute on petite women is vulgar on me.. i push the limits.. but, i do try to refrain from being vulgar.. lol

snowwhite.. i tell myself everyday.. I WILL NOT BE MY MOTHER.. not that she is a terrible person.. we are just complete opposites.. but, since i'm the control freak in the family...everyone pretty much goes with my plans.. that way if something goes wrong.. they will have something on me..

you won't know your dining room rotation until you get into the stateroom...to be on the safe side. book palo's for 2 nights and then cancel one..

i still need to book palo's too.. think i'm just going for a brunch.. though.. mabye a dinner.. and then with the cancel option..

Okay...I think I have pushed DH over the DCL limit! On our ride to Delaware to Jakes hockey game...I kept giving them a play by play of where we would be next week this time...
Uh..3pm...meeting everyone at the statue....oh 5pm...time for the sail away party.....8pm...dinner....
I'm not sure..but I don't think he is speaking to me right now... ....

It was great! 7 to 1...us! One more game tomorrow morning and then we'll miss a few while cruising...I think Jake will get over it!

So Sarah was coming down with something last week huh! Better now then next week! Jake's got a nasty cough too. If it is not better by Tues will visit the doctor.........I'd love us all to have a preventative dose of antibiotics if we could!
