Oh God, please don't let my kids get the bug!

I have been worried about this since we booked the cruise. And last year on Feb 3 both my kids came down with the stomach bug. It would just be cruel for us to get it the same time this year!

Hope no one else comes down with anything!!!!!!

I suggest using www.imageshack.us for quick free image hosting from images on your computer. Follow the instructions (I suggest resizing images to be 320 width by checking off the tick box) and when your picture is finally uploaded, use the bottommost image address called "Direct link to image" and insert that address into the image-posting tags.

For instance it would type like this in your post: "[img ]http://img262.imageshack.us/img262/3078/disneyonicesmall5ha.jpg[ /img]" (removing the extra spaces I used in this example).

Good Morning!!! I need some help from previous cruisers. I have started getting motion sickness in the last couple of years. I am curious what people prefer Bonine or wrist bands? And should I just go ahead and do something for the kids? Jacob can ride anyride even MtM and not have sickeness. I think they will be ok! Its me!What works best for you all? TIA

I'm in the same boat. I have tons of pic's of DD but I'm not sure when I had a pic of Dave & I together recently. I have some from before DD. May have to post one of those. Will see what I can do. Am off today to shop. DH needs some items for the cruise. Will check back later!

Hey Tammy - I went to grad school in Buffalo. Did my undergrad at Geneseo and worked at Oswego, Alfred and Syracuse, too, so I know your area well! Still have lots of friends between Roch and Bflo. How's the weather up there? I bet your REALLY looking forward to the cruise! See you soon!

The weather is COLD! We only have about an inch, inch and a half of snow though...hoping it stays this way until we leave! Have nightmares of a snowstorm before we leave and we can't get to the airport!

I officially join you with the sick kiddies! I took Leah to the doctor today....and she tested positive for Strep! I guess the good news is we still have time for it to travel to whom it may and be treated!
It's always something!

Hi Jackie,
My kids just got over strep and finished their amox. Dr. is going to give us a prescription for it to get filled and not mixed with the water so if we need it while we are on ship we just have to mix with right amount of water and start them back on the antibiotic.

I just finished mine too as I had it as well! Dr. told me if I wasn't feeling better to call and he'd give me a stronger antibiotic.

We too are doing a fashion show today (trying on summer clothes). Then tomorrow I am going shopping for my formal dress and the dreadfull bathing suit. I told my husband that I was just going to wear a turtleneck and sweatpants by the pool so nobody has to see me in a suit but he thought I might get a little hot in that. Also wouldn't be good for my tan....LOL.

Ok, I feel the same! After the kids I am inbetween sizes and can't find anything to fit right let along a bathing suit!!! But, LLBean does have some Tankini's that might do the trick with the shorts or skirt for bottom and tank type top. As for clothes to pack I'm going shopping today. I need a size 8.5 or 9, but the 7/8 are a little tight and the 9/10 are to big! Why can't they just make 8 9 10? It's either an 8 or a 10....I'm going for a big cover up too!

Does anyone know when the formal night was moved to??

Well, winter is finally here!!! We have an average of 6 inches of new snow since Friday and temperatures in the 20's F. We're printed our Official Vacation Checklist so we can turn our guest room into Vacation Central. I plan on bringing my photo printer with me with plenty of 4X6 print paper so I can help anyone make copies on the ship. We've GOT to start getting our docs this week!

I am worrying about the things that we use daily that I cant put in the ''to be packed" mountain that has grown in my bedroom! Things like sunglasses, favorite shoes, medicine etc! Passports, Disney Rewards cards and tip money are all stashed in my passporter so I don't forget them (now if I forget my passporter...I am in huge trouble!!)

About our sea sick question...I am prone to sea sickness. I have had luck my last 2 cruises with Bonine. I start taking one every morning and another at bedtime 2 days before the cruise. No problems on my 3 day in November! I also bought crystalized ginger from the health food store...figure it is safe for the kids to have a piece if they need it. I also spoke to their doctor who said not to worry, most kids don't get sea sick, but if they do a 1/2 of Bonine is safe each day.

My family is from Massachusetts, and is composed of me (DH), DW, DD (6), and DS (8). We're very excited by our upcoming cruise, our first. I love the PassPorter info, as well as the info on this board. We have wristbands (thanks for the suggestion!), seasickness aids (several...), and a magnetic door sign. Not bad for the newbees, right?!

We're going to be in cabin 7508, so I'm sure that I'll recognize some of the folks that posted their pictures. I'll make an effort to post a family pic as well. I too look forward to the mail every day for our cruise documents, as one more confirmation that this isn't a dream!
