Hello - my sister and her family are going to Disney early February, can someone please tell me what the temperature is typically this time of year? Is it shorts or pants weather? I usually go in September so I was not able to offer her any advice, hoping that someone here could help - thank you :)

It can be variable. I've heard it can be cool, with daytime highs in the 50s or even 40s on cold days. It can also be really warm. We were there last February (mid-Feb) and daytime highs were in the low 80s with evenings in the low 60s. So it was shorts/t-shirts during the day and a light weight long sleeve shirt at night.

I've been twice in February.
First time was high 70's and low 80's everyday bar one with low humidity and reasonably warm evenings.
Second time we had some really cold days in the low 50's with a lot of rain, a couple of high 70's days and a couple of low 80's days and some really chilly nights with the air con turned to heat.

We froze on our late January trip! Some days were in the 40s and it was super windy. Of course the week after we left, it was back to the low 80s and sunny. Are you going early February or late February? My best advice is to check the weather leading up to your trip and plan outfits with lots of layers so that you can adjust to the weather as needed.

We typically start off with pants and a sweatshirt in the morning, afternoon the sweatshirt gets put in the backpack . After dinner, the sweatshirt comes back out.
Best plan is to dress in layers.
We went the beginning of February (our favorite time to go) and even though it was chilly, our kids still swam twice. (But we're from the Northeast, so...)

It can be either. We usually travel in either November or Feb, and in Feb we can be in the pool one trip and in parkas the next. I would plan for a little of everything and watch the weather closer to time.

I've lived in central Florida for over 30 years and I can't tell you. It can be any where from 90 degrees or above to 20 degrees or below, from one day to the next. The longer you stay, the more chance you have of the weather fluctuating from one extreme to the other. People can share their experiences, but that is no indicator of what it will be like when you are there. The best you can do is bring layers.

We've gone the last week of January for our last few trips. They were all mild except the last one was very chilly. Usually we wear jeans & t-shirt during the day with a light jacket for morning and evening. But last time, we had a windy rainy week with some windchills down in the 40's. I had a fleece vest on under my jacket, but still needed something up around my neck. My husband bought a sweatshirt for under his jacket.....and the worst part was we had to avoid rides like Test Track. Too cold. Hoping for a nicer week this coming trip.

Feb is usually the coldest month. Like every other month though it can be hot. As of now I'd plan on bringing warmer clothes.

We went this year in early February and were freezing! No test track for us. And it rained quite a bit also, so that didn't help matters. Only one day over the course of a week we were able to take off our coats for a bit. We are trying again next year at the end of February and hope we have better luck. On the plus side, we were in value season then and won't be this time.

We will be packing all sorts of things for our trip. It is so unpredictable.

We had 80s and 50s in the same trip. With some rain mixed in here and there.

Usually between high 30s and low 80s. Could be both ends of that in the same week.

Expect anything between a high/low of 85/65 to 55/30.You can say that for December,January and February.November and March dont get quite that cold on the low end most years but its probably gotten that low at some point.

We were there once in February and it was low 70s. I've also read that it's their rainy season.

Looking at the first two full weeks of February 2016 as a guide (actually 1/31 to 2/13), the high in those two weeks was 84F and the low was 36F (courtesy of the Weather Channel website). Historical average for February is 74/50F.

Also October-May is the drier of the two seasons getting 2.2-3.8 inches of rain per month (Feb in the middle at 2.9). That's nothing compared to the June-September run of 6.3-7.9 inches.

So yeah, you got to be prepared pretty much for just about anything. But it's a great time weather wise to be there generally speaking.

PS-January is the coolest month on average with 71/47F per the Weather Channel. So February is part of a warming trend. :beach:

It has been cold, windy, rainy, all three, or pleasantly warm. We don't go at that time anymore. That can be the case at most times of the year in the south between Nov.- March, but usually Jan/Feb. Take all types of clothes!
