My Family and i are thinking of doing a trip to Disney World either the week of Feb 28th - Mar6th or April 10th- 17th..which would you suggest for better weather and shorter lines or would you suggest another date all together. We have a 7 and a 4 year old. thanks a ton!!!

Tough call. You are in prime spring break season there, so, unfortunately, the crowds will likely be larger.

One thing to consider: if you would like to go swimming, especially later on in the day, go in April. Even in sunny Florida, February can have a nip in the air, so the later in the season, the better. That would be my only push toward April out of your dates. Either way, you'll have a great trip!

My DW and I have been going to WDW during the first couple of weeks of May the last 3 yrs for 9-10 trips. We will be going again in May 2008. We love going at this time as the weather is great, the crowds are average and very manageable, and the line waits average 10-45mins. Plus spring breaks are all done with.

I think if i had the choice i would choose April, the weather will be nicer and because Easter is in Mar the crowds will be down, and the rates should be cheaper as i believe Peak season might be over....
Weather is unpredictible in Feb, we went this year and the temp ranged from 50's-70's. with cold evenings.

We picked Feb, but we are going earlier, still in value season.
I forgot to look where your from, but we are in Wisconsin, so even if its 60 degrees as a high, it will still be a heat wave for us in Feb!

As OP said if you like to swim choose April.. If you want to go to the water parks choose April. If you are coming from someplace that gets lots of snow consider April to hopefully avoid getting snowed in and having to delay or cancel.
Just our opinions though.

There are some school districts on spring break the week of April 14-18. Crowds will be a bit larger during that week. I'm sure half the of Rochester, NY will be vacationing in WDW during that week. Good luck on picking the best dates for your family.

My last trip was in April. The weather was perfect and crowds were not bad. I think it will be my favorite time of year to go from now on.:thumbsup2

I am from the Rochester/Buffalo, NY area and I will be in WDW that week with my family, just booked last week and can hardly wait!!!!

We like cooler weather, so Feb is when we would go. I would think that maybe crowds would be larger in April, so again, if I had to choose, I'd still go with Feb.

Good luck! You'll have a great time no matter when you go!

We are going to WDW in February because of the Daytona 500. so i would imagine the Week of Feb 12-18 will be extremely crowded for two reasons, Presidents day weekend and Daytona 500 (everyone will be in the area and stop into WDW for a visit because they are already there).

I will be the odd man out. We went to DW at the same time last year feb25-Mar 3 and it was amazing. We had little to no waits for the rides (our longest wait was for soarin and that was only 20 min) and the weather was chilly in the mornings, but not cold. There was actually a few days that we even swam because the pools are heated and the temp got up to the lower to mid 80's. This is just my opinion, but I would avoid MGM that weekend because of ESPN will be there and we didn't go but I'm sure it will be packed.

I've never been in April so can't comment on that month, but we were there this past feb - March and the week is awesome for both crowd levels and weather. Try and avoid presidents week tho:goodvibes being from Maine and fly out of -20º F my kids swam everyday, so its all relative.
