Feb. Member Event at Doorway to Dreams (Updated p.11 with incentives)

Any speculation out there as to what the incentives might be for the Feb. event at Doorway tp Dreams (outside Chicago)???

(Edited 2/2/09 to add) Now that we know the cruise incentive and the developer pt. incentive (expiring Oct. 3), anyone else holding out hope for something better???

We already have our trips planned through Oct. We're not thrilled with RCI options, and we don't want the crummy available dates for the cruise.

Think there's any chance something better will be offered at the member event? I'm not too optimistic.

I was told by the manager there as well as my guide that they were planning an event there...I can't remember now if they told me 2nd or 3rd week....and I could not squeeze any info out of them.

Our guide told us there would be an event the wknd. of the 20th but there were no details whatsoever available as of yet...no invites, no times, etc., etc...

our guide (from there) told us ,via email, that it is the 19th, 20th, and 21st of February and that we will be getting a "VIP" invitation from her. She also said there will several characters there, so bring our kids with us. As far as incentives, she said those were still being discussed.

Amen to that! I'm hoping it's better than the DP that must be used by Oct.3. Although it's nice to have DP, they don't help us much since we already have a big spring trip planned this year.

I would love to add on too, if DH will agree, but I can't use the DP that expire Oct. 3 (we have a trip planned on Oct. 9 and can't move that up) and can't really use other vacation time this year. So, I would love a different incentive!

BAH! I've been trying to figure when this would be. DD's bday is 2/27 and I wanted to do her party the 21st! I guess she'll have it the 22nd then. We want to add-on too but not drag the kids this time since the waits can be horrible to talk with the guides after the presentation.

Our guide just emailed us some details about the event. It is the 19th- 22nd of February at the Improv Comedy Club in Woodfield Mall. You have to register and choose between 4 different times. Thursday, Friday, and Sunday at 7:00 pm, Saturday at 10:00 (All Chicago time). She said to make sure and bring your kids and camera. Lots of exicting things for the adults and kids. There will be a kids club for kids ages 3 and up. Registration is via the website. The V.I.P invitations are being mailed this Friday.

I sure hope there is something better offered than the current incentives...

-matching dev. pts. I can't use (expiring Oct. 3).

-free cruise for 4 good in Feb. or during hurricane season 2010

-not thrilled with RCI trade options and concerned we wouldn't even get the exchanges that are most desirable anyway.
