Water is a great idea, we are driving also so will grab a crate at Walmart (!!! my fav place!!!)

How about we grab a couple of Disney pins with Eurodisney etc on and you do the same for us if there are any Limited Edition ones out there . . .

Sounds like a good plan to me...Thanks again for the offer!!! Walmart, is one of my least favorite places because they are so busy!!! I prefer Target, because I can go in there and shop and not get pushed out of the way! I go there only when I need to, and do it as early as possible! But they do have incredible prices!!!

Hi everyone!!

Back from my mini trip...it was great! Weather was wonderful....then back to this! Snow!!
Power shopped...lol..enjoyed DTD....never been before....did Epcot...toured/walked SSR and OKW....
Was very happy with the CM's at SSR...got my request for room location, and was able to get in my room by 12 30 pm!! Great view!
Went to the Merry Mixer for DVC Members.....had dinners at Le Cellier...loved...and Wolfgang Puck Cafe...so- so....It went by very fast!!

Got very excited when I saw the DCL bus!! Just less than 2 mths away!

SO onto our cruise.....
First....London Couple...how exciting about Dec 23!!!!! One day.....is better than a NO Day!! lol I would go in a heart beat!! Thank you for the offer!! You know, I would LOVE a fridge magnet from there!!! And I am glad you received your package!! How exciting about the owl !! Will have to tell DS14 abt that....he loves Harry Potter!! We won a contest from our paper in Chicago and won tickets to the opening of the movie and he met the Weasley Twins and has a photo with them, and they even autographed his book!!!

tinkerbelle77....we would lvoe a case of water...I can actually drop you a check in the mail beforehand since we are so close! We are doing ME and DCL so that would be difficult for us. Also....favor...if you can on your trip over NYE.....I never got to the MK area....IF you happen to be there.....I would Love a fridge magnet from GF and Poly....whichever...I like to have them for the resorts we have stayed....and I know we wont get there before/after our cruise...no big deal I could wait til next June....but if you are at either resort...that would be great...and I can drop a check to you as well!! Just let me know......the water would be awesome! Dh is excited about that offer!

Welcome to the new posters!!!! Finally 08...we got our passports within 2 weeks from submitting our applications!! However does get pricey if you have a larger family.....just means you will have to cruise again!! lol Especially with the kids, theirs expire in 5 years!!!

Will be able to hang out at AKV on the way back, our flight leaves later Monday so we will at least have a day to enjoy the resort!! I have a savanna view 1 bdr...waitlisted for concierge!

I met folks at the DVC Mixer who told me I should cancel this cruise and go on the Members cruise! lol NOT!!!

I will get on a Members cruise eventually!! In June, we have 2 studios and a 2 bdr...so that is taking alot of points~
January has always seemed like the lonnnggest month to me...lol...I am sure it will feel the same way even more so this year!!!

The Members Cruise is wonderful, A cruise is great, but the level of service on a members cruise is even better!!! And to top it off free gifts!! And all tips are paid with the booking!!!! We are doing the 3 night because the kids have no school the 7th and 8th!...And we wanted to take my parents with us, so they could enjoy! BTW, I don't know if I have told you guys, but my girls don't have any clue about the cruise...We are going to wake them up the morning of the 6th, and act like they are getting ready for school, and then head over to the airport! Then at the airport they will see my parents, and they will think we are spending a few nights at AKV! Then after 1 night we will head over to the port, and they should figure it out as we get closer!!! I cant wait for their reaction!!! They will be overjoyed to go, but then when the end comes and we say goodbye to them, and they don't get to go on the 4 night with us, I think there will be some sadness! On both sides!!!

Today is Lauren's 4th b-day, so we are going to Chuck E Cheese, and then Friday is Haylee's 9th b-day, so we are taking her to dinner! So after Friday my 2 girls go with their dad until Christmas morning(Very sad for me, I have never spent a Christmas without them, I have 100% custody, and he usually never asks to see them for holidays, or weekends even, but last year he asked if they could stay overnight and be there for Christmas morning, I agreed.) So I figured that if they wanted to go who am I to stop them! Hopefully they have a great Christmas there, and then they come home for more! Sunday, and Monday will be days for me to finish everything that I need to for Christmas!

For me any of the LE ones or just something with the resort details. I have a bag with them all laid out so it gets hard to choose favourites, so generally anything from there . . .Character wise I like the 'non popular' as they are generally harder to find. . .

DB, yeah it did take a while to get here but they said yours would be there before Xmas.
I will get the magnet for you as well no problem. Hanging out at AK will be cool we can unwind as we will probably be skint before going home. We are going to go around the resort at some point on the monday I think but am sure we will be able to make time on the Sunday evening, maybe go out for a meal????

We are there until the Monday evening as thats when we fly out so guess we will apck the car etc and then spend the day in and around the resort . . .

Think DB is only there for the 1 night as well . . . but do not quote me on that!!!

They are releasing some new LE pins on Saturday so am hoping that some of them are left and I can buy a couple on Sunday!!!!

You can qoute Jon!! lol One night only at AKV...our ME bus should pick us up around 1 30 pm on Monday! THis is one resort we felt we can stay at and totally enjoy with so much to do!! THis is where DD10 and I were going to stay in March for her b day trip when we gave it up to do the cruise with the fam!!

As far as Christmas morning....dont be sad It does get easier with the holidays as the kids get older..been there, done that! When I got divorced the kids were 3 and 6...those first few years were tough alternating Christmases! (is that a word)? Enjoy your free time to get everything done!! Now, every year we alternate Christmas, this is our "off" year....we take the kids to San Fransisco where DH's dad/sister live. So a nice quiet time at home..not packing for 5 people and traveling for 10 days up and down the coast of Northern California....(lol..its not THAT bad, really!! )

Euro is getting ever closer, weather here is for rain all weekend but its dry over there so thats a great bonus!!!
Also some new LE pins coming out so will see whether or not I can find some of them as well. . .

DB...Yes we are jumping back on the Wonder, then we are at AK for 1 night Valentines Day Then Friday we are doing the Keys to The Kingdom tour!!! We have always wanted to do this tour!

I am going to have so much to do for Christmas that isnt done after the girls leave, so you are right!!! I have been a lot under the weather lately...So nothing has been done for the last 2 days!!! I expected to do alot, but I guess thats the way life goes, now I just have to get better before we leave!

Jon...Have fun at EuroDisney!!! And yes you were right, it's not that often that guys are right!!! But when they are I admit it!!!

DH said I should make my Dec shopping trip an annual thing Ok, if you insist, i will jsut change it to a Sun Mon night trip...16 pts only at OKW!!

DB....I have finished my shopping, I have most of it wrapped, and still no Christmas tree up!!!...There is a reason, our kitchen is being remodeled, and all the tools and things are in the living room, but we fixed that last night!!! Tim moved all the tools, and cleaned most of the room, so a tree will be up tonight!!! A small one, with everything going on, and us leaving the 28th, a small one is plenty! all the birthdays are complete...3 in one month are enough...1st its me (12-2), then the girls!!! This year was the big 30 for me, so of course there were surprise parties, and all that good stuff! Today, after work, I have a nail appointment, then its off to pick up the kiddys, they can help me with the tree, then tomorrow they go with Dad! Lauren went with her mom last night, so its just my 2 girls!!! Today is the last day of work for me until the 27th!!! Then we leave the 28th...So I think I'm ready!!! Now to just pack! Looks like warm weather!!! 78 most days!!!

We are staying at AKV...do you want any pics or anything else? We are in a studio for the first night, as thats all they had available!! Then we move up to a 1 bdrm!

I bet the ball pit is going to be a big hit with all of the kids!! That sounds like alot of fun!! Cant wait to hear!

As far as the rest of the cruisers go, I dont have a clue!!! Guess we were too friendly for them!!

Hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas, sure feels like it here just got several fresh inches of snow. Loved coming home from work to find a 4 foot snow drift in front of my garage, then broke my shovel in half trying to shovel it away, cant wait 45 more days to go. With all of the weather this winter decided to arrive a day earlier, just incase there are delays, don't know what i would do if i missed the ship due to snow. Have a safe and joyous Christmas

Well it was not set up that christmassy so was not much different than normal. No special parades or shows so not the best trip in the world but hey was still Disney and still did loads of shopping!!!

Merry Christmas to everyone! We had a busy, but good day!

Well today was supposed to be a good day for me, but it started out bad and just keeps getting worse! At 8 am I received a call from the granite countertop installation company saying that they had dropped a piece of of our countertops and were unable to install today! I was in shock, I took the day off work, we leave for vacation on Friday, and then life is crazy when we get back...They guy appologized and said they would call me when its ready for a new install! I asked what about compensating me for lost wages for a day, and then the next day that you plan to install? He said there wa nothing he could do for me. I asked him when they thought it'd be ready for a new install, he replied a week or so, I told him we wouldnt be home until the 5th, and then I have work, and out of town visitors, and then another vacation on 2/6. He said we will work around it, I promise, so lets see what happens!

Then we went to breakfast, and the waitress was very busy and short with us, I figured oh shes probably stressed, well then it just kept getting worse. I aksed for a drink refill, and she acted like I was putting her out. The meal came out, and my toast was moldy, so asked if I could please have some new toast without mold. She was like wheres the mold, and I proceeded to show her. Then she brings the toast back, and I tell her, I'm not seding my food back, but there are no onions and peppers in the skillet, and there are supposed to be some. She then says something that I couldnt quite tell what it was, and walks away. My daughter said it was something about me wanting a discount. I was so angry at this point that I decided to just drop it because it was only going to lead to trouble.

Now I'm at home and have no plans to leave for the rest of the day! Gotta finish packing!
