Feb. 7, 2008 3 night wonder...Anyone???

Who said anything about going back to normal??? lol
So..lets talk cruise...where is everyone located on the ship? Did everyone request a certain room, or waiting to be assigned?

We are waiting to be assigned a room. Have booked cat 12 as it was a really late decision to go and hate not budgeted for it.
What about everyone else????

We requested the room we had last time we cruised cat 8 on deck 6. I am however debating upgrading to a navagators veranda, it is only $100 more than what we have. Do you think it would be worth it or should i stay where we are. we loved our room last time so i am torn but the veranda is calling my name.

For $100...divide that by 3 nights...Wouldnt a verandah be worth roughly abt $33 anight? I think those look so cozy, and private...wink wink honeymooners! lol

Anyway, we went back and forth with rooms. With DH and I, DS14, DD10 and DD19 mths at cruise time....I thought 2 rooms...connecting Cat 10's...(we used our DVC pts) but then they count the kids as adults that way.
DH wanted a verandah.....I didnt realize at booking we could have done a stateroom w/verandah and an inside stateroom across the hall...not sure what that would have been anyway.
So Dh made the decision to do a Cat 4....great....he will probably never want anything else....we are in #8528 midship....
DD19mths will be taking naps...so at least we can enjoy the view while she is sleeping!

We wanted to do a Cat. 4 also, and then we decided to do B2B, and bring along my parents and his dad and grandma, so we booked Cat. 11's 3 of em in all. Me and Tim in one with whatever kids decide to stay with us, My parents in another with whatever kids stay with them on which night, and then Tim's dad and gram in the other with Tim's daughter Lauren! So it worked out good, we didnt use points for a child and pay for them as an adult because of all the adults we have going! I think that is so crazy that you have to pay for the 1st 2 people in the room as adults!

Happy Saturday all! We are getting into a very busy time for us! So please excuse any absences from me on here! This weekend we have a party in Sunday, then Next weekend we have a party on Saturday, and then we are having a party for 2 DD's b-days on Sunday, then Tuesday is one DD's B-day, and then Friday is the others, along with Christmas parties at school that day. Then Saturday the 22, we are having Christmas with my family. Sunday my girls go with their dad, and return on the 25th...Tim's DD returns the same day from her mom's, and then we have Christmas from Santa with them. Then bright and early on the 28th we head to Disney and AKV!!! It will be our 1st time there for the Holidays! I'm afraid that I am going to fall in love with that time of year, and we are going to blow a whole lot of points at this time every year!!!

Hey all,

Been shopping at Disney Store UK recently for christmas and christening gifts. Not sure if everyone has seen but they have released a set of WTP bears all on limited edition runs.
About 6-8 inches high and only costing £10 - $20 each which we though was a decent price!!

Hope everyone is well and having better weather than us - roll on Feb 1st!

tinkerbell77......did you guys book your flights yet? Been watching the fares...bit the bullet yesterday and booked United.....we prefer Ohare over Midway for long term parking etc...We did get a seat for DD 1 1/2....last flight she was a bit much on our laps!! lol

So the Disney Store here had some great sales yesterday!!!! However restrained myself...a bit....since I leave tomorrow in the am for WDW!! Yeah!
Just hoping for good weather.....and a good room at SSR! Weather looks great there...

DD10 had her first band concert last night (Clarinet) she did great!!
Well gotta go make some coffee and read the paper before the kiddos wake up!!

We purchased airfare a while ago, I'd say back in early October! We are flying SW, out of Midway. We dont do the parking at the airport, we have alot of family that is close by that drives us, and Midway is so close that its perfect for us! I think we got it for like $69 or $72 each way...With so many of us it worked out to be a great deal! Safe travels to you! Hope you find all your Christmas presents, and then some!!!

Greetings! I was in St Louis last week so I have had some catching up to do...look at us on page 10! Almost got iced in but got out just in time on Sunday.

We are in 7560 midship - this is the first time we will have a veranda....just wanted to try it - now I probably won't want to go back but won't necessarily have the extra $ to spend.

Have bought a new owl last few days as well - female snowy owl (like Hedwig in Harry Potter).

Well all the Christmas shopping is done and all wrapped up so no last minute rushes - although I always tend to see more things to buy and end up spending far too much!!!!!

Disneybride - To put your mind at rest package has arrived - there is one on its way back to you!!!! Very many thanks . . .

I believe that Disney Cruise Line is requiring the passports as of Jan. 1st, no matter what. Thats what I was told when we booked the cruise, so we went out and got them for all the kids!

Its cold and icy here in the Chicago area, also! The next 15 days cant go by fast enough! Then the month after that won't be able to go by fast enough!!

See 10 pages, I told you we may be able to hit 20 before we cruise!!! I bet the weeks before we leave we are busy here! Its always that way!

Is anyone else doing any excursions in Nassau, We did atlantis beach day last time but we not impressed however nothing was going good that day. We were going to stay on the ship but my DW wanted to do the Dolphin Encounter so we are doing that. Hope the water is not too cold, although better that home right now, we are having a warm day at 32 degrees today.

But Euro Disney is somewhere that it will be a long time before we go! With 3 kids and school, and everything else, a trip out of the country is hard! But a girl can only dream, someday!!!

We are heading to WDW in 2 weeks, if there is anything you may need before you actually arrive in Florida, just let me know, park maps, pins, or something else, I would be more than glad to pick them up, and send them your way! Also, for anyone that is needing water on the shp, we are picking up 2 cases for our family, and would have no problems picking up a few more, as we are driving to the port! Water is expesive on board, but we all love water over soda anyday!

Water is a great idea, we are driving also so will grab a crate at Walmart (!!! my fav place!!!)

How about we grab a couple of Disney pins with Eurodisney etc on and you do the same for us if there are any Limited Edition ones out there . . .
