Feb 6 2010 7 Night Western

I have a total of 12 rooms and 41 people. 11 girls and 6 boys including PMM0724's group. I keep recounting and come up with different #'s but got 41 3x finally! LOL!

Jessica,

I was trying to find the list of people (I am going to type up a spread sheet with all of them) back through the thread and found one Tazgirl had done with little gray boxes and everyone's name in them. I got the count from that as 43 and that was without Peggy. Yikes, :scared1:, :rotfl:, I am sorry to aks, but can you post, one more time, please, please, please, your list of people? I have everything packaged with 12 and 42 (put a couple extra, just in case since I won;t be leaving anything for myself, well, actually, I might, not I will, lol) and may need to add a few more before I get it all actually packed.

Thank you so much. I am sorry for any inconvenience!!! I just need it in a spread sheet - my mind works that way - so I can have it for each day. Maybe by the 2nd or 3rd day I'll have them memorized :rotfl2:

I had to chuckle at your insurance conversation. My 7 y.o niece tells EVERYONE who will listen that she is going on a cruise, including random strangers when she is in line at the store! :rotfl: My Dad takes her skating on Tuesdays and said there isn't one person on the ice that doesn't know we're going.

Oh, that is hilarious. I would likely get along with her. I, too, will tell anyone that will listen. I am such a big kid and really, I guess I never quite grew up like others because I did not have any kids to where I HAD to :rotfl: ?Yesterday when trying to find all the items I needed to make the door decor and the FE, people where asking me what I was making - their mistake :rotfl2: - because it really was a CRAZY mix of items, plus things I was looking for, but could not find, they heard ALL ABOUT IT. Now they all want to go on a DC

WALLY!!!! I can't believe we missed cruising together by two weeks! :sad2:

I just got off the Magic and have an assignement for you and your cruise-mates...to help with a joke.

If you see Daniel (food and beverage officer, picture below) go up and ask him "Are you the handsome Daniel I've heard tell about?" ...or something to that affect, just be sure and refer to him as 'handsome Daniel'. He's also a great guy to talk to so it will be worth your while.

Also, if you haven't made any server requests, call DCL or yout TA now and ask to have Simone from Italy as your head server!

Hope you and Paul have a great cruise...we did!

.

ok you have my attention...what is the joke??? :goodvibes

Jackie,

Can you tell me which night is Pirate Night on the ship? Thank you!!!

It was day four, Tuesday, but I don't know if it is the same for you, since I think you have Cozumel and Grand Cayman 'flipped' from what we had and I'm not sure if that makes a difference.

I was wondering what the joke was, too, because I have no prblem calling him Handsome Daniel, but would not know why I was doing it,

I had met and chatted with Daniel on the '08 westbound Panama cruise. Of course, I mentioned him to the girlfriends. :lovestruc When my friend Cheri ran into him the first day of the cruise, she said "Oh, you're the HANDSOME Daniel my friend told me about". When he came by our table at dinner that night, I got a little grief about that and I told him it probably won't be the last time he'll be called handsome by complete strangers. He said he had a thousand crew memebers that would be keeping an I on me, I replied that I had a hundred times that many DISers to keep an eye on him!

As a side note, he did mention that he reads the DISboards while on vacation, as it's the best source of info on what's happening on the ship while he is gone.

Oh, and you guys know Golden Mickey's is gone, right? The temporary replacement show "Once Upon A Song" is really more like a concert than a show. Five members of the entertainment crew do Disney songs/medleys. I really enjoyed it, but I don't think little kids will enjoy it as much as a full blown show, unless they are familiar with a lot of Disney music.

You will have a different cast than we did (I think our cast is on their last week this week). The cast you will see will be the ones eventually doing the new Villans show which starts later in March. They are brought on earlier than the show's start so that they can get their sea-legs and do some rehearsals on the moving ship.

Thank you so much. At least i know it is a port day now and that it DOES mess up my FE gift themes, but that is o.k.

My parents were on the West bound Panama in 2008, Mrs. Mork and Dr.Hug (DIS Board names) or Angie and Dennis. Do you know them?

Here's wishing everyone hassle-free travels!!

I am about 2 hours from the port....haven't packed and probably won't until Friday night. I am too concerned about making list after list of "instructions" for DH and MIL when I am gone!! Just hoping the house is in one piece and the kids are healthy/safe when I return!

Hope the weather gets better....otherwise it will be a "cool" cruise!

Looking forward to meeting everyone!

I think we said on Deck 10 after the sail away party but for the life of me I cannot recall where off the top of my head!

Quick question - is Dramamine an OTC med in the US? I called two pharmacies here and all they have is the patch and it is pretty costly. From a thread on the main board, it seems dramamine is the preferred motion sickness med as it doesn't cause drowsiness. If it is OTC then I think I will wait until we are in Cape Canaveral the night before and pick some up there. :confused3

Nope you want Bonine, or Dramamine II -
it is the non drowsy one.
And not prescription - works great too

Dramamine make you very slugish :faint:

Ah, ok! Thanks Wally. I wonder what kind they have on the ship - drowsy or non. I guess it's better to go buy some (it's OTC there, right?) than to risk everyone being tired on our vacation.

Is anyone here taking it as a precaution? I am not sure if I should just hope everyone will be fine?

I take it regardless....as I did not take it on one cruise the 1st night and I was very ill, but I do get motion sickness from rides at Disney such as the Tea Cups. I take Meclizine (generic Bonine)...can buy from behind the pharmacy counter at Target or Walmart.

I can't remember which one they have, but I know that I have needed it on some crusies and I haven't needed it on others. They have HUGE boxes of the small packets and give it to anyone asking.

Anyone doing any non-Disney excursions?

I am thinking of taking my 8 year old son to Sting Ray city via a jet ski with FatFish adventures. It looks like fun and I think my son would enjoy that more than a quiet sailboat trip there.

We don't have anything planned in Key West or Cozumel - sort of waiting to see what the weather is going to be like right now.

Ok gotcha! Now I feel more comfy to go up and say that!! :lmao: Im VERY shy by nature but If Its for a fellow Diser than I have to help out :grouphug:

Deck 10, Midship, Near the Outlook bar. Bring ear plugs, cuz the horn is right above us!

Ill be up on Deck 10 anyways to watch the sail away party so Ill be there ;) :thumbsup2

I get funny tummy on those tea cup rides too... and sometimes if I spin on the merry go round or tire swing at the park. :scared: It's funny because I never used to be like that.. it's only been that way for the last few years.

Should I bother hitting up the pharmacy in Cape Canaveral or just ask for it before we set sail and let them know I couldn't get it here...? I'll make everyone take one with their sail away drink! ;)
