WOW that is sooo cool. Ok I am very artistic (or so I would say crafty) but there is no way in heck mine would turn out like that...ok I did do one FE that will probably be hanging on our door, the pockets are made out of plastic which I swore to NEVER again work with on a sewing machine (it was actually my moms sewing machine because I dont know how to sew really well) but I am sorta proud of it but yours is cool. I LOVE the changable pockets

Thanks!! I did have fun making it! The plastic was a little hard to work with...I'm not good at making an even cut. I'm sure yours looks great...plus it's homemade! It's neat to see what you can do when you put your mind to it!

A couple of things about the FE exchange...

Someone mentioned labeling their gifts -- I hadn't even thought of that, but I think that is a good idea just in case there is some kind of mix-up.

Also, I am wondering about folks that might have a last-minute stateroom change -- how would they let others know? I would suggest to everyone that when you are delivering, make sure the FE has some sort of identification on it that matches up with the family that is supposed to be there. Another thought would be that if your room# changes, you could stick a little note in the FE's of everyone else participating, with your new room# on it.

I know there are a few of us who are hoping for possible port upgrades , so just something to keep in mind...

Sounds like a good idea!! My FE gifts will be in little baggies and I will put a slip of paper inside that says it is from me with my real name and Disboard name.

I also like the idea of putting your info into the FE's of others if you switch cabins. I know my cabin will remain the same as I am not eligible for an upgrade. If I receive any notes about a cabin switch from anyone I can post them on my door or FE for others to see.

Are you planning on labeling the pockets so we know whose is whose? (Or maybe it doesn't matter since you're all adults??)

Thanks so much!!! I will put our names on the 1st 2 pockets since it is just 2 of us. I was trying to find the usb cord to my Cricut machine to cut out the names.....but I haven't used it in so long and I lost the cord!

Thank you!! Not sure how to edit the pictures...when it comes to computers/programs I am not too savvy! I do not have photoshop or anything like that ( I think I have Adobe). I might go ahead and see if someone on the graphics thread has a moment to personalize them for me!

Not sure how port upgrades really work...but sometimes it is cheaper at the port..sometimes it isn't. I think it depends on how many cabins are empty. According to the DCL website it looks like the only catagories available to book are 4-7...but I am not sure how accurate the website is.

Has anyone booked any excursions?? We are still trying to decide. I think we will just go to Royal Palms in Grand Caymen....not sure yet about Cozumel.

We live in Tampa, FL, so booked with FL resident rate.

The doorbell rang a little while ago and UPS just delivered my order from Oriental Trading! Woo-Hoo!! The package was heavy! Since my kids are not going on the cruise I let them each have a couple of items to play with.....they are outside playing with them now (hint, hint ).

Ok I am working on the Fish Extender labels so I was thinking no need for everyone to have to do the work...so once I get them all done up I will post them here for everyone to have if thats ok with everyone? That way no one else has to type them all out and such. Figured why not since I have to do it anyways let everyone have the benefit from it

Here is my FE that I made today! I put thick plastic sheeting over the front of the pockets so I can slip names/pictures into the pockets...customizable for each cruise....same with the top clear pocket with the Disney Cruise picture (all graphics are from the magnet thread!).

Less than 3 weeks to go!!!!

I love it! I love how you made the clear pockets too! So thoughtful! I figure if we ever go on another disney cruise (which I am sure we will) that if it says Magic, oh well. Of course since I haven't made mine yet I am not positive exactly what I'll put on it!

I was wondering about that because of the talk of upgrades at the terminal. I think it is a great idea for them to drop a note in the other FE's! Does anyone belong to TGM? Do they even have a cruise section? I was just wondering if there would really be any other FE's hanging up that weren't part of our group.

I love handmade and I love my cricut although I don't use it all that often. But I like knowing it is there if I need it! I wish I had more time in my day to just play with it and do super fun things! I feel like I work all day even though I work from home for myself!

I just got my graphics for name tags for our door. I need to get he magnet paper and print them out along with some other decor! I have alot to do and think about it all day long everyday but never get around to actually doing anything about it!! I am counting down the days because I need more days until our cruise. Or maybe just more hours in a day?

I know we won't get an upgrade at the port because we have already been upgraded! Hope we like the room!!! I am a bit scared to have a porthole and see the ocean. Thinking it will make me sick!! But I know, close the curtains! And it is wonderful to be able to decide for free! If we like it I am sure that we'll book one next time.

ok I just realized that I am going to be printing these on just sticker paper and not on label paper so I didn't do them label size But I will still post them in case anyone wants to use them or redue the size on their own or what not...these are roughly 2" wide 1 1/2" tall each label And I did purposely print Shananiganzz twice since they have two cabins and I wasnt sure how everyone is going to work their gifts...or who was going to be in what room...so I just put two lables the same so anyone can choose if they are doing two seperate gifts or like what I am doing...just including everything for both cabins in one big bag...but feel free to use these if you want...plus I added three extra blank ones in case anyone wants or needs them. Enjoy!

If anyone needs me to do them a certain size or for certain templates just let me know and I can do that for you guys as well, I dont mind. I just wasnt sure what everyone is going to use for printing them out if you are going to use them as labels

Cari - the only excursion we have booked is stingrays at Castaway Cay. Our DD cannot go, so I will go with one of my nieces while DH watches DD and our other niece, then we will switch off so DH and my other niece can go.

You reminded me I have to try and book a dolphin excursion in Cozumel.

Other than that, I think we will do the aquarium in Key West but on our own. In Grand Cayman we might do Seven Mile Beach but have not decided yet.

ok I think I personalized our Fish Extender so everyone will know it is us I used the foam sticker stuff to cut out our names and put them on each pocket. The good thing is that once the cruise is done we can take off the names if we need to So here is the pic...sorry its kinda hard to see the names with the background but I will add a close up one of Chels's name so that you can see (you can see it all better in person)
