It's about 30 miles, on a Sunday it will only take you 3 hours with LA traffic. Just kidding, hour at the worst, but probably no traffic.

A pre-cruise meet is a great way to kick it all off!

On the FE topic - is there an updated list? I know there are more peeps now and I want to be sure I don't miss anyone. Not that my gifts are all that exciting (no so crafty and seriously time deprived!) but it's the thought that counts...right?!?

Also, how do we know when we are supposed to deliver our gifts?

Don't know what will happen this year, but since kickoff will likely be 3:30 (?) on the ship, the lifeboat drill was postponed until Monday morning last year! Wonder if they'll have the sailaway party right in front of the Funnel-vision where the game is likely to be broadcast?

Are you making any special purchases for the cruise?

I've made a few small purchases so far, like my AWESOME camera/card holder thingie! (yes, that IS the technical term! )
I'll be on the hunt this week for new flip flops for everyone (will probably have to order them online since you can't find flip flops in the Tundra this time of year! )

I will be going on a shop for some clothes, but other than that, I think we're all set!

I dont know if this is a So Cal thing,but Kohls just put out there flip flops!!!!!!

I heard once we were thinking of having our days assigned, but then heard another time it will be open. I think that in order to make this more fun and less strict, we will leave it open. Hopefully folks will spread it out a bit over the week naturally, so we get it our gifts in bits, rather than all at once.

I also heard that we can choose what to give. No need for gifts for each person if that is not what you want to do. No limits either. We will probably give gifts to each kid, and one for the adults to share. Probably not as amazing as what PrincessSophiesMom has planned, but still fun. No need to be worried that your gifts aren't as great as the next persons, we all know we have different income levels, and that some aren't as creative as others. I'm all for having fun! Kids are really going to enjoy this, and that is all the matters to me!!!

I know this is crazy but sometimes when Im in Sephora,I daydream that I am the millionth customer and get a "grab all free" shopping spree.Philosophy is my fave .Its love.

It will be interesting to see what they do with the whole game/sailaway party conflict. Would be funny to see though, all the men crammed in some bar on the ship while all the moms, kids and ladies are on the deck partying!!
