Feb 5th - 12th 2012 Mexican Riviera on the Disney Wonder

Lol!!!!!:lmao:

But hey, I don't know that about dry erase markers dvctigger!! Love that idea!!!

The flag should be Mickey colors and say something like, I've always wanted to go on a carnival cruise, but I guess I will settle for Disney. :) or we could have a cruise motto. On our last cruise it was, I wonder...do you?? Anything with wonder in it.

I'm going to go out on a limb here and say, I'm pretty confident we'll be the ONLY geek squad with a tour flag. That being said, I dare you to hold up Brents sign! :rotfl2:

OK, I did it! I sent an inquiry asking about the sail away party!! :woohoo: I asked specifics, going off of all of your responses. I told them I already KNEW about the international waters issues, but it's not really an issue since the game will probably be over before we even hit international waters. I told them I already KNEW that the sports bars were going to be playing the game, but that wasn't my concern. My concern was, were they going to cancel the sail away party due to the Super Bowl. I told them I already KNEW that the Navigator and Cast Members would know the schedule, but due to the fact that my kids LOVED the sailing away party the first time we cruised with Disney, I didn't want them to expect it, if it wasn't going to happen.
It's going to be interesting to see how they respond to my e-mail. Can't be a canned response!! HA! :lmao:

As for the sign...
"Let's Start Something WONDERful"?
However, my personal motto for this cruise..."Tundra to Tropics". Word.

I triple dog dare you....-

Why are the posts going so far out of order... strange.

Slightly weird. Did you see my comment on one of your and Lisa's pictures. I'm fairly sure we know someone in common, or you guys have come shopping from me at some store I've worked at in Portland or in Bend. The one picture, I was like hey wait, I know them. So we need to figure it out. Do you guys go on vacation to Bend ever together?

Just found this board today, really getting excited about the cruise, and appreciating all of the suggestions from the veteran cruisers. So ready for some sunshine! I think we are back over 6 hours of daylight...but I am ready for some natural vitamin D!:cool2:
Vacationing with a long time friend and her 7yo son...taking a 50th B-day cruise between our b-days!

But that isn't gaudy at all. Are we allowed to start popping open our carry-on booze while in the terminal?

My kids might not like me going in and out of their carryons to get my booze though.

I cannot wait to meet all of you!

Glad to have found this board - guess I have lots of reading tonight to catch up on all of it!

I am so ready for the trip; I'm sick of the winter weather! We've half way through the winter and have as much as snow as we get for the whole winter! Okay, so it's not as bad as other places like Cordova or Valdez, Alaska, but enough already! (Blizzard warnings for the mountains here in Anchorage tonight and big storm is arriving now). I see some folks from AB on the forum, so they can relate (LOL).

DS (7) and I are traveling to Disneyland on Jan. 31 for a pre-curise visit until cruise day! Then will meet up with a friend at cruise check-in. My DH is staying home to take care of kitties. My friend and I are celebrating turning 50 and this is about half way between our two birthdays. And I can't leave a 7yr at home while I do Disney!!!!!

This is the first cruise for all of us. Can't wait!!!!
Welcome*Welcome! We look forward to celebrating your birthday with you!

:offtopic: Just thought I would throw this out there. Especially if you have kids this is a fun little pre cruise tip. Many of you may already know this, but I didnt and do it all the time now. . . . . Dry erase markers work great on mirrors! :thumbsup2:tigger: I always use them to write things like "Welcome Home" on the bathroom mirror in the kids bathroom when they come home for breaks. I have a countdown, big hidden Mickey with number inside, on the mirror in our bathroom right now. Just something fun for the kids, or spouse! ;)

Very fun!

Howabout "Wonder if we're having a sail-away party"?

Just sayin...

Now that is WONDERful! Can you hear me laughing?

Perhaps this will make it easier:

What do you want our "tour guide flag" to look like?

Maybe the DISboards logo with "Ahoy WONDERing Mateys!"

However, "Tundra to Tropics" fits us just fine! :thumbsup2

Maybe those of us from the sunshine challenged areas can have a contest to see who is the palest of us all! :rotfl2:

Thanks for all the welcomes!

Hey Hawky7...
I've been to Bend a fair amount in the last 7 years as my best friend lives there. You probably know her! Haven't been thoroughly through FB lately as I'm trying to keep up here and freaking out about my Fish Extender!

I vote for a really long fish extender as our banner... maybe with pockets for everyone! You can tell what's on my mind tonight!

I vote for fun, loud... yes, something with Wonder in it:
Let the WONDERful Memories Begin!

?????

I think the Alaskans may have you on that one. Born and raised in Alaska, and this is the wackiest winter I can remember. Anchorage has been crazy, but at least we don't have the mess that Cordova has.

Have you had your coffee yet LL? :wave2:

Upgrading not looking good. Unless a bunch of people with less than 4 people in cabins that sleep 4 move up to a higher category, there are no verandahs open for 4. Bummer! So, unless these peeps do something at the port just before I get there, I think I'm not moving. Oh well, I'm happy with my porthole cabin, just hoped to upgrade to a balcony...

Also, welcome to the new peeps! Why would you all want to leave your neck of the woods to go to warm, sunny Mexico?
