Feb 5th - 12th 2012 Mexican Riviera on the Disney Wonder

Nothing yet here either BrentM3

Ok, so I know a few of you are shopping for clothes for the cruise. Hopefully I'm allowed to post this. If I'm not, someone let me know and I'll delete it. I just finished buying about $700 worth of stuff on RueLaLa for a little bit over $100. RueLaLa is a sample I site I frequently shopping at. The sample sale site is having a sample sale! $300 dress for $35! They've been having issues with the site crashing so not all of the stock is available yet. Most of the women's stuff is. I managed to snag some kid's stuff, but the kids stuff seems to be down right now. There is supposed to be men's merchandise too. $9.95 shipping will cover you for a period of 30 days, so you can purchase what you find today and if you find more stuff you like a day from now, you won't be charged shipping. There is a lot of formal wear and a decent amount of casual cruise wear as well. The sale is only going on for about another 18 hours.

@brentm3 ha ha i took away the link, hopefully that'll be good enough to not have it deleted. its such a good deal! i want to share it! all the sale categories were up this morning and i know there was men's stuff, but i couldn't get into the category before the shut down the site and started over. They've had kid's stuff, home stuff and women's stuff posted, but they haven't reposted men's. However, with that said, the women's stuff currently has women's suiting, so I wouldn't be shocked if there are men's tuxes in there.

Seriously though Brentm3, if you'll be in LA at least a day prior to sailing, I can send you to the shop I send most of my clients. Roughly $100-$125 you'll have a tux in comparable quality to the rental ones and directly across the street is a tailoring shop that can hem and do simple alterations within a couple hours and very inexpensively.

Sorry i don't understand the question? You mean our background? Mexican/Brazilian.

Yeah, I couldn't think of the best way to ask....

Good thing I asked, I was thinking Russian or something eastern European!

As you all have probably seen, I sometimes let my mouth move before I think too much! (Or in this case, let my fingers type and hit submit before I think...) :rotfl2:

@Brentm3 Just sent you some info. Turns out the shop is also available online now. Downsides to that? No haggling (which you can do in stores) and no try-on available.

Hey just thought I would let you all know that we got our cruise documents today whohoo

I just sent a PM with our stateroom number on but it is 7010 if I have not sent it to everyone.

Also, have we decided if we are doing one gift per family per person or per night? sorry if this has already been said but have been crazy busy!!

PrincessSophiesmom thanks so much for the spreadsheet it is fab!

Ok off to start on our FE now and get my creative juices flowing!

Sorry forgot to answer the q of the day.

So we moved to Alberta from the UK three years ago and I was in Ikea in Calgary and spotted a lady who I had met at a playgroup in the UK and she had moved to Alberta as well. The weird thing is that Ikea looks the same worldwide so we could have been in our local one in London-crazy feeling!

Also meant to ask are any of you having hep a and b jabs?
Thanks

Woohoo! No sooner than I mention it and they started arriving!

I had a small booklet from DCL tonight as well, I excitely tore into it, looking for my luggage tags, only to find this was a different booklet for my placeholder that I am very likely not taking in December...boooo!

Awesome!!!

I figured we were each giving one gift/s to each cabin. That means we will bring 8 bags of stuff for the 8 other cabins. Probably have more than just one thing, but will only be bringing gifts one day. I heard we will secretly be assigned by hawky7 our day to give the gifts. I assume two of us will have to give the same day to make it work.

No hep shots for me, but Diana already has some of those for work, I guess kids have em too. I'm not worried, Ive been to Mexico many times...

It is really up to you how you want to do you FE gifts. Some people do a stateroom gift, some do gifts for each person. Some people like to do a few little gifts and give them out all throughout the cruise. Whatever you want to do. Like, we don't have kids, so I usually get stuff for the family, with a couple kid gifts in there.just whatever makes you feel comfortable.

So sad, my cruise stuff did not show today. :(

@ Princesssophies mom-thank you for the spreadsheet!

@ Hawky7-Thank you for all the info for the FE and for organizing all of it!!!! I appreciate it!!!

We have not received anything from Disney yet either!Cant wait though!:)

Oh and almost forgot, yes Hawky 7,I think assigning days is a great idea!!!! Thank you!!

Did anyone book excursions??

I drop the ball and couldn't get my act together for FE. I am looking forward to meeting some of you folks. I love reading thru the threads and seeing the bonds your are forming.

It's also get me excited for the cruise!!! Great tips and suggestions.

I hope to meet you on board sruiz!!

We're pretty loosey goosey rules wise. There aren't really many. You can do one gift a cabin or you can do one for each person. I am going to attempt to purchase/make a gift for each person, hence why I had to make a spreadsheet. I knew I'd screw up without one. Color coding keeps everything straight for me.

We all have Hep A & B shots already so I didn't really think about it. Sorry, can't be much help there.

Perhaps we can have sruiz partake in the meets, but not the FE?

Hawky7 and I were discussing the possibility of doing the meet at port, prior to boarding, if everyone is planning on arrive around the same time. If not, we could still do a mini meet at port and our official meet on Secret Deck 7. I know at least a handful of us will be there around 10:30.

I've made additional updates to the spreadsheet. Let me know if any others are necessary.

For anyone who hasn't sailed before, just a heads up, we can only bring commercially produced packaged food on board. Homemade goods should probably steer clear of edible goods :-)

and perhaps we can include rmt32481 in the meet as well (if they're interested), even though it is too late for FE.

@nikkim what day is Jake turning 7?
