FEB 3, 2008 ABROAD DISNEY WONDER--Who else??

OMG- this is sooo funny. Last night I was on the Disney Wedding site to price out vow renewals and of course, I was looking at the wedding packages- I mean DD is 6 now......:lmao:

That is too funny! before you know it she'll be ready for you to pay up for her Disney wedding:lmao: and of course, she'll want the "add ons";) My dd, is 15, so I better hurry up and start saving too:laughing:

Let's try!!!

Did I say that I got our reservations all linked? I am not sure. Guess what guys......I got our ressies linked. LOL

That is gonna be fun! I wish we had early seating but I am excited to try late seating as I have never done that before...I wonder who will be our tablemates? Can you believe my family of four has never had tablemates in all our DCL cruises?? they just always sat us at a table for four:confused:

I think I started having nightmares about paying for DDs wedding the day we found out we were having a girl! I hadn't even considered the thought that she may want a Disney wedding:scared1: She loves looking at our wedding pictures (on a beach in Jamaica!) I am really hoping she goes that route. Although Hawaii would be nice;)

DH has said since the day both the girls were born that he hopes they have a beach destination wedding also- hopefully we would only have limited expense then outside of the accomodations! No fancy todo here!

Either that or he plans to offer them a check for half of what we would pay for a regular ceremony/reception (and then they can just elope). What newly married young couple wouldn't want some cold hard cash- a good payment for a home....or a really nice honeymoon! He thinks that's win win!

Like I said before though, we'll see in twenty years who wins. Strangely, I feel it'll be me :rotfl: Or at least for the sake of his own marriage, he better hope I win!!! :rotfl2: Now, to keep DDs interested in Disney forever like me...

I have to take a break from the boards here and all this future wedding talk to get DD off to 1st grade..... :lmao:

[snip]

Ed and I had a mickey & minnie wedding here. We had a super elegant wedding, but all of the "little" touches were mickey. And of course that began our love affair with DCL!

COOL! I bet we would all love to see those pictures. I know I would, as DW Lisa.

I sure wish your DD was coming along. I would have loved to see her and my DS(14), Aaron, hanging out togeter.

When DW was expecting, people would ask what I wanted, a DS or DD? I would always say DS, because I didn't own a shotgun, and could never afford the wedding, if I did. :rotfl2:

She would have like that...she is the sweetest princess and she just brought home her first High School, semester, Freshmen year report card of all A's and just one B+ (Geometry:scared1: ). She really, really, wanted all A's but had a hard time on the Geo final exam that brought down her A to B+ at 8.89 percent.

Your daughter is beautiful! My son (14) will be on board as well...I just wish my DD (18) had something to do! She is still in High school but too old for the teen club...She can go to a 18-25 year old meet up but the thought of my baby with 25 yo men is too scary!

Will your son be doing any of the teen only excursions? We are still trying to decide what to do...

I may have finally answered my own question. Below is the entire text of an email I received from Disney Cruise Lines:

Now it turns out the passports were delivered a week ago. DW Lisa forgot to tell me. :rotfl:

Well, at least we have 'em. Now I can start worrying about something else, like how I'm going to pay for all this :teacher: :snooty:

Well I signed him up for the Wild Side excursion. I just hope he goes. It so hard to get that brat to do anything. I have to basicaly force him to do new things. Once he does, he generaly likes it. Dad's not such a square that he doesn't know a good thing when he sees it. Why can't they just trust us? :confused3

Maybe if he gets to know a few of the other kids, and they are doing that stuff, he'll do it too.

Awww, thank you! I wish DCL had some kind of 17-19 year group as I wouldn't want my dd with 25 yr old men either:eek: My dd just turned 15 but was 14 on our last cruise and she didn't like the teen club as they started pairing off and she wasn't "cool" with that:rolleyes1 but she is shy and not romantically into boys (yet:scared1: ) but she at least went three times and gave it a shot.

I think you dd can use the adult only pool and spa/workout room and even go to Palo's with you (if your doing Palo this cruise)...I am sure she is gonna have a great time:hug:

Congrats on the grades! :cheer2:

I'm happy when DS Aaron breaks a C average :guilty:

Oh well, I guess its for the best your DD isn't comming after all. It sounds like Aaron, and the quarterman DS would have had to fight over her :lmao:

If she doesn't feel too old for the teen club, I bet they would let her in if she was less than forthcoming about her actual age.:rolleyes1 Or, if full disclosure is the family moto, they still might let her in if you explain your very valid concern, and she has her school ID showing she isn't even graduated yet.

On the other hand, I'd be supprised if she wasn't chomping at the bit to hang out with the older set anyway. I'm sure you've raised a smart, self sufficient young woman, who is ready to fend off the latharios. ;)
