FEB 3, 2008 ABROAD DISNEY WONDER--Who else??

Well I signed him up for the Wild Side excursion. I just hope he goes. It so hard to get that brat to do anything. I have to basicaly force him to do new things. Once he does, he generaly likes it. Dad's not such a square that he doesn't know a good thing when he sees it. Why can't they just trust us? :confused3

Maybe if he gets to know a few of the other kids, and they are doing that stuff, he'll do it too.

I signed mine up for that as well but he's not sure...he really wanted to do the parasailing but that's booked up :sad2:

Mine never listens either apparently I don't know cool:rolleyes:

Awww, thank you! I wish DCL had some kind of 17-19 year group as I wouldn't want my dd with 25 yr old men either:eek: My dd just turned 15 but was 14 on our last cruise and she didn't like the teen club as they started pairing off and she wasn't "cool" with that:rolleyes1 but she is shy and not romantically into boys (yet:scared1: ) but she at least went three times and gave it a shot.

I think you dd can use the adult only pool and spa/workout room and even go to Palo's with you (if your doing Palo this cruise)...I am sure she is gonna have a great time:hug:

I sure hope so! My dd was 16 on our last cruise and lived in the club...she made friends with people who she still is in contact with...

As of right now she is planning on sitting by the pool with a good book :thumbsup2

If she doesn't feel too old for the teen club, I bet they would let her in if she was less than forthcoming about her actual age.:rolleyes1 Or, if full disclosure is the family moto, they still might let her in if you explain your very valid concern, and she has her school ID showing she isn't even graduated yet.

On the other hand, I'd be supprised if she wasn't chomping at the bit to hang out with the older set anyway. I'm sure you've raised a smart, self sufficient young woman, who is ready to fend off the latharios. ;)

That would be great but I'm pretty sure from the last cruise that they are very strict about ages...I remember that people tried to argue but Disney wouldn't budge...(which is a good policy I guess since I wouldn't want my 13 year old with 18 year old either if I had one!)
Alas we will have to figure something out...

She does have some single aunts on board as well...I just have to make sure they don't fill her up with Pina Coladas! :rolleyes1
Actually they might be worse than the guys!!!

Your daughter is beautiful! My son (14) will be on board as well...I just wish my DD (18) had something to do! She is still in High school but too old for the teen club...She can go to a 18-25 year old meet up but the thought of my baby with 25 yo men is too scary!

There will be a 20 year old girl in our group....they can hang out!

My DD informed me last night that she has 2 loose teeth. I asked her if she thought the tooth fairy would be able to find her on the ship? She informed me that she didn't have to, Tinkerbell would take care of it! Any ideas for something special that Tink could leave?

OOOOH! Didn't think about loose teeth! DD is 7 and has only lost 2. I will add "Pixie Dust" to the packing list to sprinkle just in case. That would be cool for her.

Glad all of my kids are looking forward to going to the clubs. I don't even want to think about a 16 year old!

Quarterman just wanted to say those are great photos of you family in your signature:)

Thanks! That's what I was doing yesterday when I should have been doing a million other things! :lmao:
Those are pics from our last cruise...getting off in Nassua, my DH's pirate costume and then waiting at the terminal :)

How sweet!!! I have no suggestions at the moment....just wanted to say Carsyn is losing a tooth too!!!

I didn't even think what would happen if she lost it at sea!:scared1: Maybe since we are at sea a pearl could replace the tooth. Buy a cute little pearl necklace at home and then just in case say Ariel brought it!!!

Carsyn is looking forward to it!!!! She even tells me what I can't do and she can in her clubs. We are really kinda happy about that! Bret and I have never had an alone vacation.....so this will be nice.

That's too sweet!...in our family the tooth fairy brings a dollar or two plus a pearl charm for my daughter's wish pearl charm bracelet so I would do my best to get a disney dollar or two and maybe a disney charm?? but I guess it all depends on what you usually do and how you can modify it to be disney magical! :wizard:

If she looses it on DCL cruise let your cabin stewart know...they do asomething special:lovestruc

I've done a quick search of the boards and it sounds like guest services may be able to help me out. It sounds like people have been able to get pixie dust and even a letter from Tink. I will have to be prepared in case it doesn't work out but that would be really cool. I think I am also going to try to find a cute little necklace for her to leave. Just when I think I am making progress on my to-do list, it keeps getting longer. It is fun though!

I can't wait to get onboard and of course hit the buffet! So where do you think you'll have lunch? I usually try for Parrot Cay but if it is a nice day...Beach Blanket would be a relaxing alternative:beach: :scratchin

Are you playing matchmaker?????

Every chance I get. Steph's DD looks like a little darling in their picture, doesn't she? princess:

Aaron wasn't "into" girls when I left last September, but a lot can happen in a short time. DW hasn't said anything has changed, but I expect it any day now.

I think every dad wants his son to be popular with girls, and his dauhter to stay away from the popular boys ;)

Re Teeth; it's even possible that my DS could loose one. He's still got a couple left at 14.

Re Teen Club; when I saw the pictures of the Teen Club, I was totaly jelouse. I want to hang out there.
