Wow, I really hope you're wrong. We picked Feb 7-13 because it was suppose to be slow that time of year. DH will have a fit if it's really crowded. That will ruin our entire vacation.

The 40% off pin codes and 4/3 are awesome deals for consumers but I was thinking this morning how it could totally backfire for making a good trip...way too crowded most of this year

We picked this time of year to avoid crowds too....looks like this might not work out so well for us either. The specials really go into spring and summer so im surprised it is going to be so busy in Feb.

Hi! I'm new to posting, but could it be because they only allow a certain number of rooms to be booked with the special codes & packages? I'm going at the end of the month and I remember reading that the number of rooms available was limited for the 4/3 package when I made my reservations. I'm hoping that's the case... I too picked this time of year and faced the wrath of my daughter's school so we could go when it was slower and less hectic!

I have not faced the "wrath" of my daughters school yet.....I have not secured our dates so its just a matter of time! We are planning for first or second week of feb. so she will miss about a week. She is in 9th grade and some pretty tough classes so Im going to ask for some of her work ahead of time, work ahead, so it wont be bad coming back. I think for history and lit it will work, but not really for biology. anyway good luck to you!

I think some of you are in for a rude awakening.

Remember, what you want (low crowds) goes directly opposite what Disney wants (packed parks and full hotels).

If it's any consolation, I was surprised to get a room only ressie at a discounted rate for Feb. 15-17 at POR.

I'll tell you why all the Values and Mods are sold out - UCA High School Nationals Cheerleading Competition is the first weekend in February. My team is competing on Saturday, Feb. 7th. We're all checking into one of the AS resorts on Friday, Feb. 6th and checking out on Mon. Feb. 9th. Several of our families are also booked at the resorts and some are arriving early and some are staying into the following week. I have two families that did not reserve a room with our group reservation and cannot get a room anywhere except for possibly at a Deluxe resort which is very pricey.

There will be a special UCA night on Friday, Feb. 5th at the MK and the park will be closed to anyone part the UCA attendees and families on this package. Also a private championship party at MGM on Sunday, Feb. 8th, in the evening.

Any one want to give up their room reservation? PM me, I need two rooms!!! I wouldn't plan on it being "slow" or "Quiet" this weekend, these girls like to Cheer!

Great. We planned on a quiet week too...going 2/5-2/12. No offense against the cheer competition but being mostly a summer visitor to WDW, we were looking forward to it being a less crowded trip than normal!

I see that on Friday, feb 6th, Mk is open it's normal feb hours...9a-8p according to the schedule on disneyworld.com

Sorry to disappoint you. Resorts must be pretty much full. Cheer Teams and families can request one of the All Stars resorts or the Carribean Beach. I have a team of 28 plus 4 coaches and parents booked at one of the AS, just don't know which one yet, and I have families who can't get a room at any of the Values or Mods. on site.

FYI, most of the North East has school vacation that week of Presidents Day. So alot of guests would be checking in a few days before vacation starting Thurs, Feb.12- Tues, and staying a few days later till Feb. 24.

According to Touring plans they have crowd rates out for Feb 5, 6.& 7....with crowd #'s of 6,5,6 yikes!

Another reason it may be crowded Valentine's weekend is that the Daytona 500 is the 15th and I'll bet if people can't get rooms in Daytona Beach...some people may book at Disney and do dual trips.
