Hey Robin!!! figured I would do this the easy way lol:

Name: Meredith
Arrival Date: 2/21/2011
Program: Spring Advantage
Age: 21 Non wellness
Role: Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique hostess
Transportation(Plane, Train, or Automobile): Automobile, bringing my own car down with me to the CP (still on the fence as of to whether or not I'm going to be taking the Auto Train or not).

In other words, I'm terribly excited!!!!!

Hi Meredith!!!!
(I like your format so I am going to use it for my main post if you don't mind :) )
That is so awesome that you get to be in the BBB! How fun
I am arriving by plane, my little old call will not make it (I have to sell it before I leave).
Have you thought of what to bring?

Hey all!!

Name: Lindsey
Arrival Date: 2/21/2011
Program: Spring Advantage CP
Age: 22 (Non-Wellness Apartment)
Role: Merchandise
Transportation: I am flying from Boston to Ft. Lauderdale on 2/14 to spend a week with my grandma (a week of buying business attire for the CP! lol) before flying from Ft. Lauderdale to Orlando at 7 AM on 2/21!

I just can't wait to meet everyone! I'm a little nervous, because I don't really know anyone doing the program, but I did find out a boy from my school is going too.

Meredith, my grandma says to take the auto train!

:wave2: Hi Lindsey, another fellow Merch CM!

I am a little nervous about flying, I have never been on a plane before so this solo trip will be nerve-wracking for sure!

I am super nervous about being so out of my element, but I am soooo excited to meet all new friends. I hope to make this the time of my life, it
is such a dream come true :yay:

You're going to be totally fine! Flying alone is scary at first, but I've done it enough now that I can navigate my way through Logan (the Boston airport) and MCO (Orlando International) all by myself and I don't get nervous much. You'll be ok. You get to the airport, grab a coffee (or tea, if that's your thing) and a book or a magazine and you read. And then you just keep reading for your flight and before you know it, you'll be touching down!

Think about how much better it is for your car...

That's a great idea, I'm wondering are you allowed to listen to music on an Iphone? And how early would you get to the airport?

I was thinking about taking the train but it's over 300 dollars! :scared1: I am sticking with flying because it's a little more affordable, though the train would be such an awesome adventure. :cloud9:

PMing you so I don't totally take over the thread with my lengthy post!

my mom and I were looking at the auto train prices today and we're on the fence to a point about it (still). I almost swayed her but in the back of my brain I keep thinking it just may be better to drive it.

Let me know if you see anything I missed or may be unecessary to bring!

Questions :)
1) How many clothes are planning on bringing? I don't want to bring to little, but I don't wan to bring to much!
2) Are you planning on switching banks when you go down there? I currently have TCF and they aren't in Florida, so I have to switch... I am not sure how the pay works if you can do direct deposit or not...
3) Are there specific shoes we need to buy, or are they included in the uniform?
4) Are there private showers in each apartment or is there one big shower room? Seems like sharing a bathroom with 6 peeps would be awfully hard! :scared1:

Also I love your list Meredith! Helped me think of a few things I haven't thought about :)

your list gave me some ideas of stuff to add to mine!!!! Now to figure out answers to your questions...hmmm lol.

New stuff added to my list:

Medic Alert Bracelett
Tower Floor Fan
Humidifier(no idea why I would need this)
Nebulizer and meds ( I have moderate-severe asthma so this is an absolute must!)

Stealing your list so I don't have to type as much for mine!!

Also:
1. I am planning on bringing 2 weeks of clothes. My mom kicks butt at packing, and I really hate doing laundry. Besides, half the stuff I'm packing is t-shirts and shorts, so that's less room it takes up in a suitcase. I do shop a lot, too, so maybe I'll be careful about how much I pack.
2. I use Bank of America and I am not switching. I am going to bring a check so they can do direct deposit for my account, but that's all.
3. Different roles/locations have different shoes, and you have to buy them. Wait until you get to WDW and see what they say about shoes. Some places require white, or black, or non-skid, etc. Maybe you, me, and Meredith can all go shoe-shopping together!
4. I think there's multiple showers per apartment so you're not sharing one with all six girls. Maybe two showers for six girls, which is 3 per shower? I'm not sure. Depends on the size of your apartment!

Glad I could help add to your list :)
Luckily it's really humid in Florida so hopefully you won't have to worry to much about your asthma. My sister and my mother have it as well, and usually they do really well in Disney :)

Ah thank you so much! I was thinking about bringing a week of casual and a week of dress clothing. That would be really fun to go shoe shopping :)

It's really getting closer! I remember it being like 100 and some days away, it's so exciting! How do you guys think it will be leaving home? This will be the first time on my own, and I am super excited, I think it will be really bittersweet... Thank goodness for video chat.

SKYPE!!!!!! lol, and definately lindsey you me and robin need to go shopping together.

I'm nervous. I've never been this far away from home for this long, before. Also, I don't know anyone in Florida, besides my grandma, who is four hours away from Orlando. I have, though, lived in a dorm for 4.5 years with small breaks at home. I rarely came home except for vacations while I was in college, so... I think I'll be ok. I hope.

I'm extremely nervous about going away for the CP. I'm not only leaving behind my parents but I'm also going to be living behind my "boyfriend/fiance" with our relationship very much on the rocks not to mention my sister and bff. I'm really scared and nervous for the day I have to say goodbye to all of them when I leave to go to Florida. Its going to feel so weird not seeing them everyday (me and my sister are constantly hanging out with each other so its going to be weird not hanging out with her). I have no idea how my mom or dad are going to react to saying goodbye to me once they leave me at my apartment in WDW. I've never NEVER been away from home like this for so long ( I commute to school from home so this is a brand new experience for me). Just hope I can do it and don't get majorly homesick. Thank goodness for Skype right?!

Anywho, we all have each other and we can all kinda band together to get through our homesickness. That could help...

I am nervous too. I know I'll cry, and it will be really hard bot to be able to see my little brother and my dog everyday in person. My sister is a year younger than me so she'll be going off to college anyway, but even still she will visit them on weekends while I'll be 1800 miles away.
But I am so excited and happy that I think it outweighs everything else. To know that my dream is finally coming true, everything that I have always wished for is finally going to be a reality. It will be different from anything I have ever done in my life, and I have never been away from home that long, but hopefully I will be blessed with many new friends and opportunities that I will remember and be able to tell my family when the time comes :)
