Hey peeps!

Figured I'd check in with ya since we're getting so close! I'm headed down to Ft. Lauderdale on Monday to hang with my grandma for a week before check-in. I have these nasty butterflies in my stomach and my heart is pounding thinking about leaving. I'm so nervous and so scared! I can't wait to get down and get moving with Traditions and training and stuff to get my mind off it. I know I posted about the sitch with my mom, and it's tough for her to not be excited, and my house is totally nuts... but I'm going to miss home in MA a whole lot. I better get people in my merch line with thick Boston accents to remind me of home <3

If your parent going to be there with you. Give them your apt key while you are checking-in.They can choose the best bed and room for you and move you in while others are at traditions.

My S got the second best spot - Other parent jumped ahead. We were bored waiting for him and decided to stroll over to see the outside of his apt only to find another parent moving their kid in to the best room. We marked his bed and came back later.

That's awesome. I wish I could have done that for college...

I'm going to find a nice parent in my group of roommates' parents and adopt him/her as my parent for the day.

So on... but first I wanna go to Walmart to spend my giftcards. I'm starting over new... buying bedding, pillows, a towel... bleh.

DON'T EVER FLY DOWN IF YOU HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO DRIVE/TAKE THE TRAIN lol. It limits your packing sooooo much.

I have been hearing that so much about flying limiting your packing. I'm even driving and my packing is "limited" (not by choice mind you).

I have clothes and toiletries packed (as well as my laptop, ipod, and chargers, etc). That is it. No sheets, comforter, towels, most of my makeup (which, you know, I can't wear to work anyway, because purple is definitely not "neutral") and room decorative stuff. It's all good, though, because we're going to Super Target so I can get stuff there <3

I'm mostly stressed because I've never had a checked bag, carry-on bag, AND a purse before. I usually have one bag checked and my (large) purse with my laptop in it... plus I'm all freakin' out about my layover tomorrow! I usually fly places direct and any time I've ever flown with a layover, bad things have happened (almost missing the connecting flight, lost luggage, etc). I just make mountains out of molehills.
