Feb.13th(lucky for some) 2010 Eastern Valentines Cruise - The Love Boat Sails Again !

Just a thought if we can't get Palo - (call it Plan B)

We can choose a 'formal' lunch seating for one of the sea days (maybe Thursday) and all go together. If we inform the dining room head in advance, I'm sure they would accommodate us.

I know it's not Palo, but I wouldn't want to miss a fun ladies event just because the private room was booked!

Well, Plan B it is, because, as hard as Barbara tried, the Palo private room is booked for our entire cruise so we're out. :(

So - Ladies Lunch at 1:00 on Thursday:grouphug: Who's in? I will take responsibility for making the arrangements once we're on board. Lumiere's or Parrot Cay? PM me if you want to be included and "vote" for which restaurant you prefer. Restaurant with the most votes wins!

Brooke and I are up for either restaurant and would like to participate in lunch.

Kim

Also, no cruise docs, no cabin assignment, nothing. 30 days until our cruise...

Clearly you will be in the Roy suite and Barb and family wil be in the Walt. That's why you are waiting so long... they want to surprise you.

I think Lumiere's would be nice on Thursday. I think Parrot Cay is the buffet, right? Count me in either way!

I have DCL on speed dial and they now have me on the stalker list! I WANT MY CABIN ASSIGNMENT AND DOCS AND I WANT THEM NOW. :wizard: Pretty pretty please.

And if in the Walt or Roy suite I would like to request Palo for ALL of us!

Hi All,

I'm traveling without DH too!:yay: Count me in for lunch for sure. I'll vote for Lumiere's but anywhere will be great. I got my cruise docs yesterday and got the passports out of the safe deposit box today. In no time we'll all be relaxing in the warm sun. :cloud9: (I hope it will be warmer than Massachusetts!!!)

MY DH said that he wants to be the masscot for the "Ladies" :lmao: He is so funny and a great sport! If you need anything any help on this cruise my hubby will be more that ready to assist any way he can :thumbsup2

Hey - It's one (or more) gifts per cabin/person for the cruise, not each day. :) I will likely do something on 2-3 days, but not everyday.

I've got you added and I'll send out the update this weekend.

Thanks!!

Hey--that's even better! That would have been a lotta gifts...Kelly

Would love to join everyone for a Ladies' Lunch--count me in! Kelly

WOOHOO more for our "ladies lunch"....I think we will need to warn security that we are approaching "gang" status :lmao:

Kelly....nice to have a Rebel in a sea of Yankees! You won't be alone in the Rebel category though, my DH was born and raised is Picayune MS ;)

Get out--that's just right down the road from us! I'll bet if we talk long enough, we'll find out that we know some of the same people. That's why I love MS. I've been keeping up with your saga--still no room assignment?

STILL no cabin assignment! :confused3 Each day that goes by makes me more crazy. Not that I need another excuse to be crazy :rotfl:

I am sure you will talk to my DH plenty on the trip. I would be a hoot if you knew some of the same folks. He still has relatives that live in Picayune....he hasn't seen them in many many years. He does consider MS is real "hometown" :-) I am a yankee girl grew up outside of Philly, and I knew nothing about Redbeans and Rice, Gumbo, Catfish........BUT after 24 years together I can make a mean pot of beans and some fried catfish

Yeah, not knowing would drive me insane too. Do you have a GTY or anything?
I grew up down here and still can't cook like Granny did. I still rely on Cracker Barrel or my Paula Deen cookbooks to eat right :cutie:
Sending good thoughts your way--maybe you'll hear something today:genie:

Ladies.....
Lumiere's (order-from-the menu dining) is open until 1:30 pm on sea days. Parrot Cay is a buffet (with different "themes" each day) and is open until 2 pm. I have a feeling that with our group (15 and counting) we are going to want some time to eat and talk and eat and talk. Should we consider moving the lunch time to 12:30?

Also (I got this idea from another thread) do we want to have a "Yankee Swap" during/after lunch? For those who are not YANKEES, it's a fun gift exchange. Everyone brings a wrapped gift ($10.00 limit or so). Each player then draws a number ( based on the number of folks in the swap) . #1 chooses first- opens a gift . Then #2 does the same. The only difference is, #2 can keep her gift OR take the gift away from #1. Each successive number opens a gift and can either keep it or take from ANYONE before her. Obviously the higher your number the better choice you get, except.... at the very end #1 can take from ANYONE. It can be a really fun(crazy) activity.

Let me know your thoughts.........

THURSDAY, FEBRUARY 18th LADIES LUNCH

PS If we keep thinking up activities, we'll need a Navigator printed just for our group!

:cool1:Got our cruise documents yesterday. Port Canaveral, here we come!!!!

I like the new spiral book format and personalized trip infomation. Cool touch!
