Feb.13th(lucky for some) 2010 Eastern Valentines Cruise - The Love Boat Sails Again !

Well Linda and Betty and Pat and Angela - count me and Jody in your "Ladies" group..... our husbands will be home working too! We are going brunch on Monday at 10:30.... when are you booked Pat? I am also going to tea at Palo with DD Meaghan on Valentine's Day (just the two of us). We went last cruise as she had turned 18, so now it will be our Mother/Daughter tradition

Great we're going to have a great time. I believe my brunch is booked Sunday. I need to go on the web site & print it out.

Just let me know, & I will change my reservations first thing when we get on the Magic. We had a Girls only brunch on the Med cruise, & had a blast.

Anyone else staying at the Hyatt the night before? We will be flying in at noon, checking in quickly, off to our rent a car, Olive Garden for lunch, followed by ABC (operation wine) & finally the Magic Kingdom

I double checked and our brunch is Monday the 15th at 10:30. The reservation is for the 2 of us, me and Jody. That being said, I don't care when we go - it will be so fun to have all the "unaccompanied" ladies go together- so whatever can be arranged for the group is fine with us. Jody says she will "go with the flow" and do whatever I organize. She's working a huge amount of overtime right now , not by choice, and is really looking forward to the cruise. She is SO HAPPY that my husband isn't able to go! She has been on one other cruise, a few years ago, also with a group of ladies. But just wait until she sees how Mickey does cruising!:mickeyjum

:banana::banana::banana:THE DOC IS HERE!!!:banana::banana::banana:

As I was reading gallaj0's reply this morning and wished mine was here already, the door bell rang and UPS left this small flat envelope. I though it was another one of my DH's DVD exchange thing, so I did not open. Well, he came home early since my DD is sick and gave me the DOC!!! The long waited new castaway booklet with fresh ink scent. :dance3::dance3::dance3:

I hope everbody's Doc will be there shortly. Also, hoping everything works out in their best way possible for anybody who still has TBDs. pixiedust:

Welcome to all the new cruise meet friends. It is now, 30 days to go!

Yes, we plan to come to the meet and greet--looking forward to it! Love the FE's--approx. how many gifts for others do we need to pack? Thanks for the info on the magnets--will look into making a few.

Brooke and I are also doing a girls cruise --- guys staying home. When Brooke gets back from the Western Cruise (there right now) I am going to have her check to see if we can get upgraded to a veranda room that can fit up to 5. If so, there will be another friend on the trip (and her 4 yr old daughter). I'm not counting on anything being available though...I think the ship is pretty full. This should be a FUN cruise!

We would like to participate in a girls brunch too. How do we organize it? We are going to Palo for dinner on Sat night because that was the only thing available when we booked. We hadn't booked brunch yet.

Kim

P.S. No docs, no cabin assignment, nothing!

The girl's only brunch sounds great!! We have a brunch booked for Thursday the 18th at 11 am, but we would happily change it to make it a group brunch. Is That something we could plan now, before we get there? An at sea day would be best, I guess, so as not to conflict with anyone's excursions. We're good for any of the at sea days.

We also got our documents today, but DH's name is on everything. I called back, and they said it's OK, because Betty is in the system now and not to worry.

We will be at the Hyatt the night before, but only arrive in Orlando at 10:30 pm. Anyone for breakfast before the cruiseline bus??

I'm also interested in the high tea. My husband wasn't, but Betty is game for any and all things, so anyone interested in that as well?

It's getting so close! Just a month away! I've been working on my FE gifts and am happy to say that I've completed making them for everyone already signed up for FE. I'm also helping put together the FE gifts that will be from my ILs... my MIL is really tickled about the "trick or treat" as she's calling it. ;) I just received our matching family t-shirts I ordered (a family tradition to take a photo on deck in matching shirts) and just bought an adorable tiny suit for my DS4 to wear to formal night. :lovestruc

Where did you get your matching t-shirts from? That sounds like a fun idea! I've always wanted to do something like that, but never have. Do you have a picture or description?

I'm traveling with DH but I'm sure I can tear myself away for a girls only brunch!!! Sounds like a great idea. Who's going to be the one to organize it???:cool1:

Depends. If you are doing it per cabin - we'll probably settle around 20 cabins/families or so. If you are doing gifts for certain ages (adults and/kids)/genders then it gets a little more involved to figure that out.

There really aren't too many families participating, but about the right amount to guarantee a fun time without it getting overwhelming.

Read through some of the threads that exist to get some ideas on what has been given in the past. That will help a lot.

We'd love to have you but understand if you want to pass as well. :goodvibes

I would LOVE to join you ladies for brunch. The DH can entertain himself and Jen for a while! Jen takes a late morning early afternoon nap so she won't miss me too much :lovestruc

Joy, I'd be happy to plan the brunch. Anyone who wants to go can PM or email me, and I'll check right now to see about availability. Try to let me know in the next day or two if you'd like to join in, and I'll get things going.

I just got off the DCL website, and there are no reservations available at this time for brunch or high tea. I guess we can go and try to get one together when we get onboard. I know some people who do that every cruise they go on, and often get extra Palo dinners that way.

Those of us interested could meet up once on board, I think you do this right after boarding. Or we could meet up in the terminal. What do you think would be the better plan?

We're in! I'm ordering my FE today. I will search the threads for gift ideas--I think the gift per cabin per day is more my speed. I'll go back and send an email to get on the list. Thanks for your help.

Pat...I just sent you a PM message I need some info to request the brunch @ Palo for all of us :thumbsup2

When we had the private room on the Med cruise, the person who was able to book all of us, was the family staying in the Walt Disney room, another words, most of the time you need VIP status to book :headache:

Hey - It's one (or more) gifts per cabin/person for the cruise, not each day. :) I will likely do something on 2-3 days, but not everyday.

I've got you added and I'll send out the update this weekend.

Thanks!!
