Thanks, Ladies for your very good advice. I called back late last night and this time got an agent who couldn't have been nicer. I was planning to ask for flight #1516 (the non-stop flight to Boston at 3:10 pm) but really didn't hold out much hope, since I had originally paid for a very low-priced flight with a connection in Cincinnati. Much to my surprise SHE offered ME that flight before I could even mention it. All's well that ends well I guess! Although now I'd like a non-stop flight on the way down, a cabin upgrade , hmmmm let's see....what else???

So - a few minutes ago I sent PM's to about 10 people who have been on this thread but not in quite a while. I wanted to see if they were still on board or had to change their plans, and also let them know that we'll be meeting briefly for introductions and doing the FE's. If I included anyone that has been responding lately - I apologize!!

Speaking of responding - I haven't seen Jdybnsn (Judy), who started this thread, lately. Anyone seen her on any of the other categories? I hope everything is okay!!!

I'm going to start emailing everyone individually and let them know what information I need. If you will check your PM's in the next few days and respond back, I would appreciate it!!

Remember - FE closes on January 31st! Please let me know if you want to participate but haven't signed up yet. Also, any new folks please post any information that you are comfortable with and PM me with the rest.

Having up dated myself over the past couple of pages ....first of all welcome to all new cruisers !


....and secondly, to anyone wondering about cruising in Feb / over Valentines .....then please ask away if you have questions, as we have done this twice now.....

The weather, overall, was very good on our last DCL (Western) cruise (same week 2 years ago) ....as were the sea conditions..we had only one day of partial rain/clouds last time ....and choppy seas...though nothing to make you really sea sick ..but we couldn't use the pool for a couple of hours due to the rain & sea swell...but this was for only part of one day - rest of the time weather & seas were absolutely fine ....and each day we had in port was hot & sunny ...Castaway Cay was a little cooler, than first time round in Feb 2006, but we were still on the beach, and the kids were in the sea ...we found swimming plenty warm enough ...but then we are from the UK !!.....maybe slightly cool for US tastes..but I guess its down to personal preference/standards at the end of the day ??

I have found the seas can be a little rough first night sailing out of PC, due to crossing the Gulf Stream currents......but we have always woken up to a mill pond and clear blue sky the next day ...so try not to panic if this happens !!



Finally...nearly forgot to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year form the freezing, foggy UK !

We went online this AM and found a deal at the Hyatt if you belong to Costco. We got a room for the night before the cruise for $149. You just have to remember to bring your Costco card along on the trip.

I have a 4 year old daughter as well. She is atually turning 5 on the cruise. But I am excited that she is going to get to meet some other kids and hang out with them in the club!! Can't wait.
