Feature film premieres onboard?

So my husband asked me "What's the chance they might release Tron early to the ship?" , considering it goes into theaters on the 17th...

I had no clue, so I thought I would throw it out there. Has anyone been onboard when a Disney film has been released into theaters? I know there are probably a few folks on our cruise (cough cough Mikey) who would join him in the theater, if it were playing....

I tend to doubt that it'll debut on our cruise. If the cruise ended on Friday, I could see maybe a midnight debut or something along those lines.

Not sure if they'll do this again but we were on a cruise where they showed Enchanted before it debuted on land.

Think I've seen somewhere that this would not happen on a 4 day Sunday to Thursday cruise because a normal premiere night is generally Friday or somedays Thursday night. It won't show before a normal premiere. It could happen on a Thursday to Sunday 3 day though because those nights fall on a normal premiere night. And I could be imagining this.

But it did happen for Bill and Jennifer so it is a possibility. Let's hope.

They have released shows on Wednesday around Christmas ahead of the regular date so they can get the "BIG" opening weekend draw.

Fingers crossed they let us have a sneak peak at the new movie a couple days early!
We all know we don't have time once we hit land again! I mean, DATW or Tron? DATW wins hands down!

Never done it myself but I have heard that you can call the DCL phone number two weeks prior and they should know

Really really really hoping that Disney decides we need a little pixie dust and let's us see Tron a day early. We should be getting "Tangled" on the PODcast cruise. Would love to see both.

One of my friends went on the DVC cruise - they saw Secretariat.
I don't know if I'd have the patience to watch a movie - so much to do, so little time! (unless it rained.)
