My name is Flavia and our family is taking Disney Cruise for the first time...
Sorry for any mistakes here, as I am brazilian... Will do my "English best"...
I would like to know how the fish extenders works, in order to participate...
As a matter of fact, I would make a FE for my 4 years old girl only...
She doesn't have any clue about what it is... But mommy here is a Disney addict, so I want to do the most of things to make her trip unforgetable...
Could anyone please give me some instructions???
I figured it's kind of a exchange between families, right?
But what kind of treats/objects are exchanged???
Sorry for the "rookie" question, but I realy need some "FE for dummies" information...
Well, anyway, our family information is:

Last name of family: CARVALHO
Adults (name, gender): Rodrigo (dad) Flavia (mom)
Children (name, gender, age): Maria Isabel (princess, 4)
Cabin number(s) (if you know it): will update latter
Celebrating a special event? First time family cruise; first Disney Cruise
Any allergies we should know about? No allergies
Email address (for sending out the final FE list) tryied to put it, but as a new person on the board, I was not allowed

I'm glad you found us on the DisBoards- if you're on Facebook you can search for our group there too. There are lots of people that have great advice!
You are correct that it's basically a gift exchange. People give whatever their heart desires
Some give "family" gifts that are meant for the whole cabin to enjoy, others give gifts just for the kids (coloring books, disney character toys, pirate themed stuff, snacks, personalized key chains, magnets, etc.)
It's totally up to you what you'd like to give!
You can also search Google for "Fish extender gifts" and you will find many more ideas!

I've added you to our list and I've been posting them on Facebook but I can try to send you one here as well once it's finished

If you aren't sure what the FE is we have several seasoned disney cruisers who would love to answer your questions (and even a newbie like me who has done a lot of research)

There's also lots of info and good tips on our page from people who have cruised before- from port adventure suggestions to food and activities on board.

Hi! I just found this board, we are excited about our cruise in a few days! My almost 5 year old daughter is excited about meeting other kids on board and hopefully making a friend or two.
