FD and 1 day base tix question

I have never stayed during FD so this is all new. The room will be 2 adults, 2 17yo (girls trip). I will have an AP but the other 3 people in the room will not.

If I book a room during the promotion, and add a 1 day base tix for each person, does the whole room get FD? Or because they don't have APs they need a tix for each day booked?

We are heading down for a race and get a free tix for signing up for the race and would only enter the park one additional day anyway.

Your AP has nothing to do with free dining. If you book free dine with a one day ticket for everyone, everyone on the res has free dining and a one day ticket

OK- I know I have read posts, mainly from AP posters, that they do need a 1 day tix purchase. I thought that might just be for the owners of AP. Glad to see they are not connected.

everyone in the room will need at least 1 day base tickets to get the free dining, but here's a little piece of info in case you aren't aware.....since you have an AP and won't need to use your 1 day base ticket, you can use it to put towards the renewal of your AP when you go to renew it.

Also, if ticket prices go up between now and your trip, your friends should use their 1 day tickets before they upgrade.
