Well with the snow being up to your waist probably 5 months......don't forget if the snow is too deep in the spring than the maple sugarin' can't happen....now THAT would be a tragedy for mankind....

"I feel your pain".........and so does the Vt. tax dept. lol. Yet the year before was in the top 5 snowiest winters. Mother nature just laughs at us I feel. lol
How did you pack for this ABD? Was it difficult to bring snow clothes? I've only done a winter trip by car, so we could take as much as the trunk allowed.. lol

We packed light and that worked for us. We live in Austin, TX so don't have any need for snow clothes. We ended up renting ski pants and jackets and wore them everyday! You really need warm stuff! The rest of the people on our trip had spent a fortune in fancy snow clothes. They looked great but we were happy that we only spent a little on the rentals. My best advice is to invest in some good liners (I bought mine on sale at Athleta. The boys got theirs at a Sporting Goods Store). 1-2 pairs of snow pants. Really, really good boots! (My husband bought some while he was there. Skinny Skis in Jackson Hole is the best store EVER!), some layering sweaters. Casual clothes for dinner, etc. You will need your snow pants EVERY day.
