Favorite treat from Germany/Karamel Kuche

This place is a little slice of heaven on earth. I've been there when there's been a line out the door and when it's been empty. It's just great no matter what, I can't just walk by without stopping.

I think the actual caramel squares are the best. Pure.
A very close second is the caramel corn. They hand it to you and it's still warm, kind of gooey. It hardens up quickly but you get that few minutes of ultimate fresh, perfect batch.

Can you tell I'm pretty excited to go back in October?

I got the Rice crispy with chocolate and caramel and I was so surprised at how big it was! It would have been enough for at least 2-3 people to share!

Lucky for me - no-one else wanted any of it :confused3

The queue was quite large when we went in but it went down very quickly! I cannot wait to go here next year!!

The peanut butter caramel cookie I had there last trip was delicious!

As someone else commented, the lines can be big but it tapers down pretty quick!

The caramel corn and the milk chocolate covered caramels.

I want to bottle the smell of that place and wear it as a perfume.:rotfl:

Actually there is a perfume like that already and I wear it everyday! It is called " Aquolina-Pink Sugar" and it is made by Sephora.

I have co-workers that come into my office just to smell me. They say I smell like a carnival. It is a combination of caramel, cotton candy and vanilla.

I was debating going to Epcot on our first night....Thanks your posts made up my mind!!! :goodvibes 8 more days!!!!

LittleStinkerbelle - thanks for sharing the photo of the caramel/marshmallow swirl - they look delicious! :cloud9:

We just missed the opening of Karamel Kuche last year but will definately be stopping by on our trip to WDW next year. :rolleyes1

And....it is time to kiss my snack credits goodbye!! I saw so many things I want in those photos....wonder if my family will share credits with me?? ;)

I couldn't believe that we missed it either!! But the 2010 opening cleared it up. Haven't been there since 2009. Can't wait to try this place in Jan! Thanks so much for posting about it and all of the pictures. Can't wait to tell DD about it.

Can't believe noone is talking COOKIES! APPLE cookie w/Wurthers caramel inside...YUM...used for left over snack credits last 2 trips & they travel well. Also, the chocolate cookie with the Wurthers caramel is amazing so rich you could share....if u dare! Had the cupcakes but must say we preferred the cookies. Will need to try the caramels...anybody know if they are on DDP as snacks?

I took a picture of the case in Karamell Kuche when we were there on Saturday, and I added notes to it in Flickr with the prices, the name of the item, and whether the item is a snack credit. Your mileage may vary, of course...they may have a different mix of items on different days, or be out of something when you go there.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I kinda love you right now.

Germany - caramel corn and caramel. When we got back in May, I made a batch of homemade caramel corn. It wasn't the same, but was good and reminded me of it.

I can't wait to try their caramel corn. But I don have a really simple recipe I got from Sandra Lee and I just made a batch this weekend. It is so good, and so easy. I make it every time after I go to the movies. We buy the refillable bag/bucket and I refill it before I leave. It makes the best caramel corn.

Here's how.

1/2 c. caramel syrup (for sundaes)
1 c. brown sugar

Put in a glass (microwaveable) container and put on high. Microwave until boiling for a minute or so. (watch for boil over!).

Put prepared popcorn (if you don't have left over movie corn I rec. putting some butter and salt on your own corn) in a large pan. I use a fairly large pan for this-(bigger than a cookie sheet and deep) and pour the syrup all over and mix thoroughly. At this point you can add nuts or candy if you want.

After it's all mixed it's done if you like sticky corn. If you want it less sticky put it in the oven (about 250) for 10-15 minutes. Stir after 5 minutes or so.

The syrup will be enough to do a large movie sized popcorn bucket. Sorry, I've never measured the amount. :confused3

So good! The hardest part is waiting for it to cool off to eat! :rotfl2:

Thanks, that was great! I have the list from jjohnson's thread and thanks to your picture I updated a few prices and now I have verified all the snacks(with just a few exceptions) (I tend to be a little anal about my snack list-I like to know ahead of time what I can and can't get. ) You have made one list maker very happy!:cloud9:

I'm glad the image and the price info has been helpful for a couple of you. :)

Well, I just got back last night and made 3 visits here and YUMM!!! The first time I got the chocolate covered caramel with sea salt. It was very good, and a decent size because a little bite goes a long way, and saved the rest for later. The second time I got the chewy caramel bar and it was AMAZING!! It has a shortbread crust and nuts ground in..maybe walnuts? It was heavenly and I bought several on my last day to bring home. My son got the caramel covered rice crispy square. It was huge and very good. The chewy caramal bar was my favorite by far

I am not sure, but I am thinking i am going to leave my husband and Marry this store. Is that legal? I am going to campaign to make that legal! :rotfl:
