Favorite treat from Germany/Karamel Kuche

We were on the DDP and I was so full when we got this shop, but I had read so many things about how amazing the treats are, so I bought some things to go and took them back to the resort. I ate the carmel apple the next day and OH MY, was it ever amazing! It was the perfect balance of sweet and a little tart. They were able to package it to go, so I imagine they can pack you something to be sent in a care package. That is such a sweet thought!

They do sell some pre-packaged candy. I know you can get the chocolate covered caramels.

That's great to know that I have some pre-packed options and that they will also package the caramels at the counter to go =) Thanks <3

I can't wait to try this place! On our next trip, I am probably gonna walk over to Epcot every day from BWV just to get something there! ;)

I have seen pics of the cupcakes and they look great...anyone try one of these?

LOVED the cupcake
:yay:

I saw some big rice krispie treats drizzled with caramel that looked quite good. My family loves the caramel corn. One daughter had a strawberry (loved it) and I have had the marshmellows covered in chocolate and caramel I think..everything looks good and since it is so rich all the sizes are plenty big

The chocolate covered caramels were very good but we really loved the caramel marshmallow swirl and the chocolate and caramel covered strawberries. I will definitely try a cupcake next time. Such a fun shop!

we tried the caramel corn while still warm and it was the best thing I've tasted in a while. We actually went back several times and used snack credits to take a few bags home---we were driving back--they never made it home;)

Today is our last day at Disney, and this is the one place I must go back to buy treats! The dark chocolate coated caramel square is my favorite, but I'm going to try the one with sea salt today. They're expensive, but no more so than anything else at Disney. Just have to finish my coffee and we're on our way!

We went to the Karamel shop in February:

My husband and I split a caramel/pecan/shortbread crust type bar and it was so yummy! For size, I'd say it was a 3" square.

My youngest and I both got the chocolate/caramel covered strawberries--yum!

My oldest got the caramel filled chocolate cookie, which she loved, but I think is too sweet.

MMM...shortbread. I'm in trouble! So mush to choose from. So much to eat :scared1:

When did this shop open?? We have been to Epcot hundreds of times especially Germany (love the beer), and I have never seen this shop. Needless to say dd saw the pictures of the cup cakes and questioned me about this place and how come we never went there.

Are there any non chocolate / nut items? Don't want to take mom there if there is nothing she can eat.

I love the popcorn and the chocolate covered strawberries drizzled with caramel.

Dh has had several things (can't remember what) and I think he liked all of them, I am sure I would have heard otherwise if he hadn't.

Sea salt caramel?? I wil have to get my sousin some of that when we go in January.

When did this shop open??

It opened in September 2010. I was there around September 27th-October 5th.

The cupcakes, while they look delicious, the frosting was not pleasant. I love just about all kinds of frosting, but not this one. The caramel drizzle on it was delish though! I can't wait to try more treats from here during my December trip. :goodvibes

We were just there last week.... yum! DS had a chocolate brownie with caramel drizzle which he loved and DH and I split a pecan/chocolate/caramel thing that was like a "Turtle" but bigger and SO much better!!!

The german chocolate caramel squares are to die for & the dark chocolate squares are really good too. I haven't tried the popcorn or sea salt caramels yet, but I'll be putting them on the list for my trip in Oct. :thumbsup2

My last trip was in '09, so I'm really looking forward to trying this place (in 12 days!)

People seem to be saying they got caramel corn with a snack credit, but I thought I'd read it wasn't available as a snack credit. Is it one of those "if you catch the right CM" credits?

OP, thanks for this question. I was going to ask it myself.

We were there last Sept/Oct. the week that it opened. (it was closed on 9/29 but open on our next Epcot day, Oct. 1st) We did go into the shop but the line was so long that we skipped it for then and never made it back. Now I really want to use some SC there! Warm caramel corn and the dark chocolate caramel with sea salt are on my must do list!

I did manage to take a pix of the sign showing some of the items inc. as a SC.

I think we will have to plan on being there as soon as WS opens. ;)
