Am thinking about "resort hopping" a bit this next trip - there are several I would like to see.

What's your favorite restaurant at one of the resorts?

Any favorite meals at that restaurant (some "can't be missed" menu suggestions?)?

Thanks!

We really enjoy Boatwrights at the POR. Yummy food and such wonderful service. We've done breakfast, lunch and dinner and have yet to be disappointed!
Have a Magical visit!

#1 Must do is 'Ohana @ the Polynesian. So, so, so, so good.

#2 Boma @ Animal Kingdom Lodge. This is a buffet, but with some really different choices you don't normally see on a buffet.

#3- If you are looking for a character meal, the dinner at 1900 Park Fare @ the Grand Floridian is really good. It is also a buffet, but IMO much better than soem of the other buffets. Cinderella, Prince Charming, Suzy and Perla are present and circle the dining room during the meal.

Boma - Animal Kingdom
Artist Point - Wilderness Lodge
Ohana - Polynesian
California Grill - Contemporary
Enjoy!!

We loved Boma! They have a large selection of interesting dishes which is one thing we really liked about this buffet.

California Grill was very good as well and the view is spectacular!

Kona Cafe in the Polynesian
Yachtsman's Steakhouse in the Yacht Club
Jiko in the AKL
California Grill in the Contemporary

Cape May Cafe - Beach Club "clam bake" buffet
Beaches n Cream - Beach Club -Best burgers on property and huge ice cream selection
Chef Mickey's - Contemporary
Boma - Animal Kingdom Lodge (especially the dessert bar)
Garden View Terrace for afternoon tea at Grand Floridian

Those are my favs!

You are in luck because 90% of the dinners I have are at Resorts. Here are the best:

Artist Point @ Wilderness Lodge: Get the 3 course dinner. It includes all my favs. Here are my picks - the mushroom soup (the best you will ever eat), the Buffalo steak and the coffee 2 ways dessert

Jiko @ Animal Kingdom Lodge: My fav has always been the steak with mac & cheese. Best steak on property

Citircos @ the Grand Floridian: the Shrimp & Feta cheese appetizer

Check out my reviews under "PrincessAuroras Sinful Food Reviews with Pictures!" They include photos and detailed reviews of these dishes and others.

Be sure and visit the Boardwalk. We love Spoodles! The 4 cheese flat bread is like heaven on a plate. :)

Ohana is a must for us. A trip wouldn't be the same without a meal there. Its our fave place.

I agree with most of the other posters as well!

Depending on how mischieveous you are, I would recommend breakfast at the Wilderness Lodge (I, unfortunately, do not remember the name of the restaurant though). Without giving away all the fun, its a great meal. Make sure to ask for some Ketchup though, its mysteriously missing from the table!

We were there last February, and after our meal (but before the cheque), I got up to go to the washroom...when I came back, there were napkins and glasses on my chair, so I sat on my girlfriend's (now fiancee!) lap. The waiter came over and made it look like my gf put the stuff on my chair on purpose (though it was him who did it). I played along and then she had to ride a wooden horse around the restaurant shouting "I will be nice to my boyfriend, I will be nice to my boyfriend".

Soo much fun!

The restaurant at WL is Whispering Canyon Cafe, and I agree it is a blast! We did dinner there, and loved the fun and the food (they have an all you can skillet with barbeque-ish food, I beleive they have a similiar skillet for breakfast) or you can order off of the regular menu.
I also put in a vote for O'hana, again a lot of fun, food is pretty good, but check out the food selections first to make sure your family will like it.
And Chef Mickey's is a must for us at least once a trip for breakfast!

California Grill - at CR
Kona- at Poly
Artist Point and WCC- at WL

At OKW is a great and overlooked dining spot.:goodvibes :goodvibes

I'm surprised that no one's mentioned Kona's at the Polynesian or the Cape May character breakfast.

Spoodles @ Boardwalk (flatbread, NY strip & Sangria)
KONA @ Poly - (chowder, teriyaki steak)
CG @ Contemporary (everything!)

We love Kona for breakfast or dinner.

Cali Grill - Contemporary
Citrico's - Grand Floridian
O'Hana - Poly
Yachtsman Steakhouse - Yacht Club (although we have always had delicious meals here, many on the boards claim it has gone downhill  )

We are trying Jiko this June. We cannot wait!

Have fun eating!!
