We’re doing a resort + boo bash visit and looking for a great breakfast on the day we leave.

what’s your favorite breakfast place at a resort and why? Bonus if there are characters but not a requirement

Boma. Just amazing food. Then savannah watching. 2nd choice Cape May Café for characters and food, and 3rd choice Chef Mickey’s for good food and characters but last place because of the noise levels.

Personally, if I am staying at a Deluxe hotel, room service breakfast is the best. Prior to Covid, while staying @ Jambo House, we would do AT LEAST one room service breakfast. They come in and set it up and then we would bring it out on the balcony and eat while watching the animals.

Since then, we did a grocery order and would have things like fruit, pastries, and those microwavable scrambles out on the balcony-we could have ordered Sanaa breakfast to go but this was so much easier.

We have also enjoyed Boma Breakfast, Grand Floridian Cafe (lobster benedict), Wave breakfast, and we hope to try the breakfast @ Yacht & Riviera on our next trip (staying @ Riviera).

The reason we don't do many resort breakfasts (unless at the one we are staying) is because we usually fly to Orlando-no car and we like hitting rope drop.

Ohana breakfast is back sans characters.

We love 1900PF breakfast for a character meal. But after our last trip our absolute favorite breakfast is The Wave. We'll be trying Trattoria al Forno in a few weeks and I do see that being another new favorite!

We are not big breakfast eaters so if staying in a standard room it’s hot beverages, fruit and a simple shared pastry from a QS shop.
When doing club level, it’s fruit, tea or coffee, and a variety of sliced meats normally. The man loved the oatmeal there so he often got that or a boiled or poached egg.
Once the brunch was closed down at Narccossee we switched to CG’s version and never looked back; slamming!

On departure day we frequently order our own version of brunch from Morimoto Asia (not resort). An order of ribs, shared bowl of soup, and a noodle/rice and veggie dish made for a hearty midday meal.

Topolino's is a modified character breakfast at the Riviera Resort and is incredible. Great food (somewhat rare for a character breakfast) and fun (distanced) character interaction. $$$ but worth noting that you can order a second entree as a "side" either for yourself or for the table ... though their portion sizes are generous, plus the pastry basket.

Not a character meal but also really enjoy the meal at Ale and Compass in the Yacht Club resort. Fantastic food... if you push toward brunch there's a burger that I think is one of the best burgers on property on the menu. I love the ham and cheese omelet too.

Our favorite has long been Trattoria al Forno. They originally did not have characters, and we preferred it that way. They made it a character meal a while back and it's intense, lots of in your space character interaction, which a lot of people like. Currently they are open but without the characters. I don't know what the future plan is for that but the food is always really good.

Personally, I really like the Shrimp and Grits from Port Orleans French Quarter! I always have to get some when I first arrive, no matter what time of day it is, but it makes for a filling breakfast, too! Not a character meal, though..

Kona Cafe - either Tonga Toast or macadamia nut pancakes. Last time I was there they didn't have the plant-based sausage so they gave me a delicious fruit salad instead. And the Kona Press Pot is the best cup of coffee on Disney property, for my money.

Whispering Canyon, great food and fun atmosphere.
Our trip last October one of the best all-around meals of the trip. CM's were great and food was yummy. We got the Carnivore skillet and the Lighter one and shared-each orderd a skillet. Only downfall was the Bloody Mary was just ok.

The man had much the same feelings as you. He loved diner type breakfasts and Kona fit the bill. I don’t drink coffee but he did and any morning he grabbed a cup from the kiosk, I knew he’d be a happy camper 😎

My favorite is The Wave (pre-covid they had a great breakfast buffet) they have unusual items like Sweet Potato Pancakes with Pecan butter and Tillamook Cheddar Cheese grits with bacon (Um, Yummy!). Boma is another favorite but is currently still closed (they also had unusual items like asparagus and roasted tomatoes and a custom omelet bar). Our family loves breakfast! I appreciate things that you may not necessarily find at the diner in our hometown. I am looking forward to trying Topolinos and Ale and Compass on our next visit.
