Favorite NON-CHOCOLATE Cupcakes (and Where to Find Them)

I know, it's practically hearsay to talk about non-chocolate cupcakes and Disney World, but quite frankly, I do not care for chocolate cake. I do happen to enjoy cupcakes however (and cakecups - RIP). Vanilla. Lemon. Raspberry. Strawberry. I am happy with everything else.

What are some of your favorite cupcakes around the World and where can I find them.

I think the Main Street Bakery still has the huge vanilla cupcakes with bright colored frosting. I'm a chocolate fiend but I love those!

I Love the Lemon Cupcake and the Strawberry cupcake at Be Our Guest, Fantasy Land, Magic Kingdom! I think you may purchase them at lunch or dinner, but I have had them at Lunch.

I'm so glad they are still around. Last I saw them, they were at Starring Rolls, which is currently closed. Have they moved over to Sweet Spells?

Not crazy at all, I'll take a good vanilla over chocolate any day. I like cupcakes but I LOVE the Disney sugar cookies with the sprinkles, I dream about those.

A bit of both. I'm terrible at spelling so I usually let spell check choose what looks right. However, when I read things on this board or the Disney Food Blog they seem to rave about all these cupcakes.... that seem to start with a chocolate cupcake. I would love to move beyond the vanilla cupcake with vanilla icing that you can find at the resorts towards any of those specialty cupcakes that everyone raves about.

Overall we prefer vanilla too, but for us the master's cupcake at Be Our Guest was the best one there.

I have had the cupcakes at Be Our Guests and they left me overwhelmed by their size, taste, and price. Plus, in my experience it's been a bit of a hassle to go in and pick up a cupcake on a whim. I remember when the wait just to get in for lunch was well over an hour.

But maybe things have changed. I should probably give it another chance.

Well I suppose it makes sense. The new movie is coming out in December (or is it November? around the holidays at least) so the BB8 cupcake is likely going to stick around for awhile. Plus BB8 is terribly popular. Not unlike the Olaf and his treats.

I've had a pina colada one from Grand Floridian that was really good. You should check out Sprinkles at Disney Springs too.

My favorite is the vanilla cupcake with vanilla buttercream frosting at Mara. So simple, but so delicious. I also had a cupcake at Caribbean Beach once, at the food court, but it was a specialty cupcake and I don't remember the name. I think it had a peanut butter and banana filling.

I'm surprised nobody has mentioned Sprinkles at Disney Springs. Can't comment on the non-chocolate favorite though since chocolate is pretty much my favorite kind. But they do have a lot of different kinds there.
