Favorite music from WDW?

If you search Wishes on iTunes, the album that comes up is the album from the whole show. There are not any pauses between tracks, and it sounds seamless. It sounds just like if you were watching the show in the park. I own the album and I love it. Just purchase the album on iTunes as a whole.

Actually, that's the only way you can buy it. ;) All the tracks (well, except for a sing-along version of the title song) are labeled Album Only.

Great thread! I'm a band director, so I really geek out on Disney Music.

1. Soarin' (great jogging music)
2. EPCOT entrance loop music
3. Illuminations: Reflections of Earth (in college when I was a marching band tech, one of the shows I taught was this & Cadets)
4. Wishes
5. Mariachi Cobre!!!!!
6. Voices of Liberty!!!!

There's simply so much wonderful music pumped in to the park at all times, it's easy to overlook it all.

Finally, if they ever put out a CD of Sonny Eclipse's songs from Cosmic Ray's, I will absolutely buy it.

Me, too. :thumbsup2:

My husband and I have discussed that a good souvenir that Disney could put out would be a "Create Your Own Disney Parks Music" CD. You could choose from a list of songs that might cost different amounts. You are able to put so many onto a CD and then even choose from a few different CD designs. I know we'd buy one.

They actually used to have something like this, maybe 15 years ago. I don't remember too much about it though, other than seeing the kiosks with the song choices in them.

My favorites include:

Soarin'

Impressions de France

Welcome Medley (it was on older park music CDs but isn't on the current one)

Flitterin'

SpectroMagic

Reflections of Earth

Haunted Mansion Holiday (it's actually the entire ride soundtrack, not really music)

Grim Grinning Ghosts

My Top 5 Tracks (they are all tied as my favorites! I can't choose!!)

HONORABLE MENTION - - The Fantasmic Pre-Show Loop circa 2001 - 2009 (it's changed since then) - - The Mouse House album and other modern twists on Disney songs is a GREAT way to pump you up for Fantasmic! It really foreshadows what's to come, using modern technology to tell a new story based on classic Disney tales. I have to give this honorable mention!

5. Main Street Loop - This is Disney. I always to go to Magic Kingdom first, and although the Entrance music is the first thing I hear...it reminds me of waiting to get into the parks. It's the Main Street Area Loop that I ALWAYS remember as the first thing I hear inside the parks. Anytime a track plays (or if I hear any version of the original songs) I get that nostalgic feeling of Walt Disney World.

4. Character Grove Loop from Camp Minnie-Mickey (really subdued solo guitar tracks are GREAT for soothing background music anytime)

3. Soarin' (no matter how many times I hear this track, it doesn't get any less epic!!)

2. Hapa Duniani, the radio track from Kilimanjaro Safaris. (This song has such a wonderful African feel to it! I can listen to it on repeat for an hour and not get sick of it)

1. Illuminations/We Go On/Tapestry (everything about the music of this fireworks show is perfect - - I don't think anything can top it)

Grim, Grinning Ghosts

The entrance music at EPCOT, and all the original themes from the FW pavilions. Yes some of them are sort of cheesey now, but they evoke memories of when Future World was a bit more alive and vibrant than it is now.

Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow

Any and all of the entrance loop music from Epcot.

How Do You Do? from Splash Mountain

Soarin'

ToT loop

Gotta love The Enchanted Tiki Room also

My favorite is the Space Mountain queue music. It just makes me happy!!!! Great memories!

Another Band Director/Disney Nut here!

Every year the IllumiNations CD pumps from my classroom (Both original & The Cadets version). We also use this for sound checks in our auditorium before performances. It has everything you could want musically.

I also enjoyed the music from "The Magic, The Memories and You" the original projections show before Wishes fireworks.

The end of this always get me, especially at @9:50. Great orchestrations. I will never forget the first time I saw this live. So inspiring, a perfect example of an audio/visual spectacle.

The Wishes music is another great example of phenomenal Disney musicians maxing out the music emotionally. I have the CD too. Great Stuff.

A final honorable mention for me goes to the Fantasmic soundtrack.

I bought the "Four Parks, One World" 2 cd set, that has a lot of great music on it.

Soarin', Legacy (the Epcot Entrance Music), and the Welcome Medley (from Main Street) are a few songs on the CD's that I particularely like.

I need to find a CD with Wishes and some of the others mentioned here.

The opening fanfare for Spectromagic is my ringtone, so I get a reminder every time my phone rings.

LOL-I also have Spectromagic as my ringtone because of the amazing song =)

Some other favorite/nostalgic songs of mine-

Welcome Medley @ MK Rope Drop
Soarin'
American Adventure @ EC
Everybody has a Laughin' Place (Splash Mtn)
Beauty & the Beast after HS show version
Wishes after show version
FOTLK songs-esp Can You Feel the Love Tonight
It's a Small World
Captain EO-both songs at the end

Sorry I messed up the quote section of my last post...not used to using this feature much & it paired my whole reply with a previous quote. Ironically, LOL begins my intended reply =)

The cheapest option for Wishes would be to download it from iTunes (Amazon has it too if you don't have an Apple device).

What else specifically are you interested in? There's a lot of park music that is available for download that didn't used to be.
