Favorite memory in Disney World

A picture is worth a thousand words. I can't tell you how cool it was for DW and I to watch our kids in the teacups with White Rabbit.

Too many to mention but a few that come to mind:

-Standing on Main Street watching MSEP with my grandmother who is no longer with us.

-When my husband proposed to me

-First time my boys went to WDW.

Taking my husband and my son for the first time and watching Chip grab ODS's hand and lead him onto the Merry Go Round.

I had a "date" with Pluto in 1991. We were in Tomorrowland waiting in line to see Roger Rabbit, who was big at the time (and I love rabbits). Pluto didn't have a line and he was pretending to cry. I went over to him and said I would rather visit him than Roger. Pluto hugged me and proceeded to take me for a walk around Tomorrowland. My DH asked several times if he could have his wife back but Pluto kept shoving him away and continuing to walk with me. It was so much fun and we started gathering a crowd! Even now when I see Pluto, I ask him if he remembers our date and he always shakes his head yes. Then he goes to the break room and talks about the nutty woman he just met!:lmao:

My favorite memory of Disney was when we got to bring my boyfriend for the first time. I had never been with someone around my age before so that was exciting and to share it with someone I care about is all the better. We are now taking him along for the fifth time in a row!

I love that story! What a great memory. I had a really fun interaction with one of the street actors at DHS. He was so in character and tried striking up conversations with people walking by, but no one was biting. My DBF and I gave it back to him, and we ended up talking for a while! It's one of a ton of fun memories I have.

The one that will go down in history for me is when my DH proposed to me on the Riverboat. It was really unexpected since we had been together for years, had a child, were not really into the whole marriage thing (second for both of us). At least I thought we were not but after a great first year I don't know what we were thinking back in the day lol.

The next was on our trip in June we were walking into a building in Epcot and Ariel was walking through. DH asked if he could just snap a quick picture of her and she took my daughters by the hand and lead them to her meeting spot. She spent a good 10 minutes with my family all alone in our own little corner. She was just the best and my kids adored her. Even my 13 yo DSS!

Here she is showing my 2 year old her new legs,

Mine is easy...

June -6 years ago - standing in line at BTMRR. I met the man who would become my husband 3 years later.

It was gay day weekend......he was wearing red.......and I thought he was gay!!! I kept saying....why are all the good ones gay???????

Obviously, I was wrong!

whoa! That is awesome! I did not know they did that. That is really cool. Does this just happen at random times?

I consider my kid's ride with White Rabbit a once in a lifetime event. We arrived at MK for our first day at WDW at approximately Noon. The first thing our kids wanted to do was ride the teacups. When we got there, White Rabbit was giving autographs and taking pictures. We got in line to see him because we had never seen White Rabbit before.

The CM told us that he had to take a break. I told the CM that my kids like to meet all the characters and that we had not met White Rabbit before. And then I asked her when White Rabbit would be back out.

She then told me to be the first one in line at exactly such and such a time. So we did. She returned with White Rabbit as expected. What was not expected was a ride on the teacups with White Rabbit.

I have 2

1-I was 7 and my parents had taken me to a character breakfast. All I remember was Pluto REALLY had fun messing with my dad, and licking his face. As my dad's not a 'let your hair down' type person, this was HILARIOUS!!

2-last summer, DH and I were the 'family' of the day at DHS!! It was the BEST.DAY.EVER!!!

Mine is our very first day ever at WDW in 1975. We were staying at Ramada Inn Maingate and had gotten in relatively late after working all day the day before we left and getting up at 5 AM.
We both took a nap and then about 6:30 or so tried to decide where to eat. Just on a whim I decided to call Papeete Bay Verandah (no WDW-DINE in those days) and got dinner reservations for 8.
We were absolutely blown away by the Poly and the restaurant. Hula dancer entertaining in the restaurant, great food, nighttime view of the castle--and we even saw the water pagent!

Great thread!

I have 2:

1-When DS(now 11) was 3, his first trip and DH's first trip our best day was at DHS (at the time MGM). He LOVED, Bear in the Big Blue House and had the absolutely best time at this show (it was were the Playhouse Disney attraction is now). I still remember him dancing, now he is almost bigger than me!

2-2 years ago-September-it was RAINING!!! OMGosh, it was a deluge. We rode on the Monorail for a while trying to wait it out, it slowed down and we went to MK, it started again. We took cover in the sheltered place next to Aloha Isle where there are tables and chairs, people were running around getting soaked, we stayed dry and stayed there for 3 hours!!! I sang twinkle twinkle about 85 times, DH and our oldest DS went to CHH and brought back lunch. We hung out, ate, sang songs, people watched and talked to one another-the pic of my boys on my signature line is from there. Finally the rain stopped, dusk was falling and everyone had left the park, it was beautiful and fantastic. This was a day that I really thought was going to stink, but it turned out to be the best day our family has ever had together ever.

My grandparents took me with them when I was 2,3 and 4. I was about 3 and I got a really bad sunburn, It was august. the only part that wasn't sunburned was my arm pits. The only one I would let touch me was my grandfather. He carried my around the part by my armpits. We shared a welch's grape popsicle on a bench. I have never ever tasted since then a popsicle so god. I've even bought boxes of welch's grape popsicle and it's not the same. My grandfather's favorite attraction was the Tiki Bird. Now every trip we must do the tiki birds in honor of him. I miss the old school tiki birds.

Multiple trips,my son on my shoulders all day when he was 3(now 20yrs old).My trip with my mom,and also another with my inlaws.A trip we took 2 years ago, just my wife and I and we were upgraded to club level!

I have 3;
-When I was 10 my mother was very ill and I was not looking forward to Spring Break because it meant being home with her. Her mediation made her hallucinate and she would scream through the house at all hours of the night. Right before break one of my teachers called my dad because she was concerned about how I was handeling my mom's illness. Well I came home from school that day and my dad suprised me with a last minute trip to WDW just me and him. He got a nurse for my mom and him and I spent a week in bliss. Epcot had just opened and he rode Figment with me over and over because it was my favorite.

-When my DS was 15 he decided he was "too cool" for Pooh which had been his favorite his whole life. We went to CP for breakfast and before I could even ask him to take a picture of me with Pooh he was all over the character. When i confronted him about being "too cool" he just laughed and said "it's Disney I can't help it."

-But my absolute favorite was when DD now 4 had just turned 1 and we had early entery to MK for CP breakfat ressies. She waddled down main street so slow waving to everyone as if she was welcoming them to her house. She still calls the castle "her castle". We could have never done that if the park had been open.

Has to be when DS was about 12 and he spotted Mulan in China at Epcot. He's so NOT a picture kid but, well, with a beautiful princess princess:

When my oldest DS was 5 we were at Epcot looking for Mulan, his favorite princess. We started at the front of China, did not see her. Asked and was told to go look in the back of China. We went back there, she was not there. Asked again and was told she would be up front in a few minutes. We headed back up front. While walking up front I look to my left and there is Mulan. I called for my son who was in front of me with my DH, but he didn't hear me. After calling 3 to 4 more times with no response, Mulan yelled his name. He then turns around and sees Mulan calling him. His jaw dropped open. She was wonderful. She spent so much time with us. We stayed with her long enought for Mushu to show up and she told him how much my DS loved her.
