My cousin and her husband are planning their first trip to DisneyWorld and are going to stay at Wilderness Lodge. They fell in love with the photos and the planning video.

That being said, what is your idea of the ideal room location.

Do you like the Courtyard view and if so, is the pool area noisey at night.

Do you prefer a Woods view and if you do what area.

Does the Lodge have a Lake view? Do any of the rooms face the Lake? Do any of the rooms have a view of the Electric Water Parade?

Its been a few years since I stayed and we had a standard room.

So opinions from recent guests are appreciated.

I defeinitely recommend the courtyard view. Both of our last trips were courtyard and we didn't notice the pool noise at all. If it is just the two of them, they may want to request a king bed. We had one trip before last and it was on the first floor. We could walk right out of our patio and to the pool.

Would not know

We stayed in a Woods View and loved it - on the North East side close to the boat launch - able to go down the stairs (we were on the 2nd floor), out the door on the pool side and a quick turn to the path to the boat launch - however it was also then the most distant room from the lobby and restaurants. It was very quiet and peaceful to look at the woods from our room

The EWP was far enough on the lake that it seems as if the Beach or by the Pool (or on the boat launch if E-Night or late night at MK going on) would be the best place to view it from

Not sure if the lobby access corridors are considered standard or not but it would be cool to walk out of your room onto a view of that beautiful lobby

We love the first floor (below the lobby). It was so convenient to everything. We could walk out side our room and the beach was right there for the electrical parade. The pool and coffee shop were just steps away. Enjoy!

Hi

I would reccomend a Courtyard View also, it was not as noisy as I had heard and our location was great. Our room was on the 3rd floor right over the Trout Pass Pool Bar and right next to the stairs so we could be at the pool or off the the dock in under a minute. Basically you can't go wrong with a courtyard view anywhere at the WL
Good Luck!!

I think the rooms in the bear's face are awesome! I know the FAQ on WL lists some specific rooms from this area. These rooms look out directly toward the lake/pool rather than across to the other rooms. They also open out to the lobby on the inside.

I tried to find the FAQ for WL but could not. If you have the link would you please post it.

Thanks

DW and I have stayed at the WL 15 times over the years. We have stayed in the "Bears Face" at least 8 times. These are our favorite rooms. They are courtyard rooms on the 4th. and 5th. floors facing Bay Lake and open to the lobby. The rooms are close to the elevators and have a great view of the courtyard. The noise from the lobby has not bothered us and it is far enough away from the pool that those noises are not bothersome.

There are only about a dozen rooms in the "Bears Face". The room #'s are something like 5069 to 5079 and 4069 to 4079. Some rooms have two queen beds and others have one queen and a bunkbed.(Rooms are all odd #'s)

I agree with the courtyard view, bear's face! We stayed there over Christmas and New Year's. We were in room 5071 and it was wonderful! It was a center view of the courtyard, pool and lake and overlooked the lobby. Even when it was packed, the noise never bothered us at all. There was a large outdoor public balcony just steps away and the elevators were close as well. If I went back, I'd beg for this room again!

I've been told that if you request the "bears face" they won't have any idea what you're talking about. So, if that's what you want ask for main courtyard view overlooking the lobby on as high a floor as possible.
