I can't believe no one likes Space Mountain's
Why? You go down dark corridors with nothing to look at and every turn seems to lead you around another seemingly endless corridor. That line always infuriated me cuz it goes on forever with nothing to really look at.
Lines/Pre-shows I DO like:
Pirates of the Caribbean - wish they would go in and add more to it but as it is, it is the best at MK.... but Magic Kingdom is mysteriously devoid of good lines/pre-shows (I count Haunted Mansion's stretching room as part of the ride).
Great Movie Ride - checkin out the various props is cool but the best is watchin the trailers for those old movies on the giant movie screen as you move down the theater.
Star Tours - Lots of stuff to check out/look at while your moving through the line and I think it has one of the best entrances at ANY attraction.
Muppets 3D - Fun building, fun pre-show - Million times better than Honey I Shrunk the Audience's pre-show.
Finding Nemo @ Epcot - Really cool design work that makes you feel like your going to the beach and then going underwater before you get on board the clam mobiles.
Kilimanjaro Safari - Very authentic and rustic. Keeps you fully entrenched in the story and the cast members do a good job of keeping up the ruse that your preparing for a two week journey. If you look closely, you will notice many details hanging above you including old safari equipment, etc. The pre-videos do a decent job in establishing some of the animals you may see and the idea of poaching.
Best of the Best! -
It's Tough to be a Bug - Just walking among the roots of the tree of life and seeing some of the detail is amazing enough. Seeing the spot on recreation of David Greybeard (Jane Goodall) right before the pre-show entrance. Checking out the pre-show area with its bug show posters including "The Dung and I" and "Beauty and the Beetle".
Kali River Rapids - Start to explore the old temples dedicated to the Hindu Goddess of Destruction - Kali. Amazing prop detail can be found here really setting up the story of how illegal logging is destroying many rainforests and the habitats of endangered animals. Fully immersive.
Tower of Terror - Just because walking up to this building is part of the experience. I think Disney is actually giving away dinner at the Tower of Terror on Friday the 13th as part of the Year of a Million Dreams. How freakin cool would that be?!
Expedition Everest - It is just ridiculous how amazingly detailed this line is. Everything from the very entrance entering the booking offices, to the various shrines with offerings being made to the Yeti, to the equipment shack, to the Yeti Museum. Seriously, how in the world did they ever get the Disney accountants to approve that? Best Line at Disney. It is almost worth having a 30-40 minute long line just so you can look at everything. Almost.
Lines that infuriate me - Peter Pan!!! BTMR!!! Spaceship Earth!!! Rock n Rollercoaster (before you get in the building). Why? Because they are the worst at the whole looping back and forth thinking you are getting somewhere but your not really kind of lines.
