We are going to Vegas soon...I've never been. What shows are your MUST SEES... anything else we shouldn't miss?

KA, at MGM Grand is simply amazing. The staging is seriously mind blowing.

Blue Man Group, at The Venetian is very loud, very funny, and very fun.

I have seen all of the Las Vegas Cirque shows now (except the new Elvis one, not even sure if it has started yet) and the Beatles Love blows all of the rest of them away. They are all good but Love is in a league all its own.

I've seen many of the variety shows too and they are all decent except for Phantom of the Opera. I really thought that one was bad.

KA is amazing :thumbsup2 DH and I loved Penn and Teller but we are huge fans of their tv show.

Mystere is my favorite Cirque du Soleil show, closely followed by Love. I also enjoyed Jubilee, which is a classic Vegas topless review that just screams "Welcome to Las Vegas!"

Penn & Teller
George Wallace
Garth Brooks (no, I haven't seen him yet, but I know that'll be my favorite show every time after I do ;))
The Amazing Johnathan

I've seen all of the Cirque shows in Las Vegas more than once, except Ka! It is my least favorite. My favorite Cirque show is Mystere, followed by LOVE - both amazing. "O" is wonderful, as well.

I am so happy to hear this!!! My DH and I are heading out to Vegas in April for our 10 year anniversay and we were thinking of seeing Mystere. We have never seen a Cirque show and are so excited.

Should I buy tickets from the actual box office at Treasure Island or is there some place else that is good? Any discounts out there?

ETA: Where is the best place to sit? Should we go for the front in section 103 or do we want something higher up?

I was in LV for a business seminar 2 weeks ago, took in Love again. Tickets at the theater were discounted 40%. The ticket person said they have been discounted for some time because of the economy. Not sure if online is discounted. It was the first time I have seen open seats at a Cirque show, and have seen KA once, -O-, Mystere and Love twice each, La Nouba three times. Cirque Elvis, at the new Aria, was not open yet, opens this week some time. Cirque shows are stunning.

I checked online, here is current.......

ETA-----All Cirque shows are best viewed from not up front, but rather back in the second tier areas. MUCH of the show is high up and lower seating makes viewing that difficult. Low seating allows you to see some of the lower performers faces, but much of the show is lost in those lower seats.

ETA again---seating in the lower seats of sections 202-204 would be great.

Geez!!! I didn't know about Garth! I've been holding my breath, waiting for him to come out of "retirement" for what? 10 years? He always said he'd do it when his kids were grown. Our kids are the same age, so I just can't wait to get them out of the house.:laughing:

So what's up? He's doing a Vegas show? Now THAT will finally get me to LV, my mom will be so happy!

The Lion King at Mandalay Bay is excellent.

The Tournament of Kings dinner show at Excalibur is fun for all and they feed you.

Haven't seen any of the Cirque shows but one day I will. I am a huge Cirque fan. If a show is on DVD I own it and watch it all the time.

"O" is my favorite followed my Mystere.......I liked "Love".
I have to say I saw Zumanity...what a freak show:scared1:

Best show I ever saw in Vegas was Celine Dion & I just read she is going back to Vegas!!!! I will be sure to fly back out for her show.

Long-term contract at the Wynn :teeth:

I saw Celine twice in Las Vegas, once the first year she was there and then in her last year. The first concert was so much better and had so much more entertainment than the second one. I look forward to seeing her again also.
