Do you have a favorite hotel chain that you are loyal to? Do you have rewards cards for more than one chain?

I prefer Marriott. But I am in no way loyal to one specific chain. I go where I get the best bargain.

What about you?

i prefer hiltons. we have a family member who works for them and can usually get us a good rate. i'll stay wherever i can get a good rate though.

We like the Hilton chains. We're Hilton Honors members, and we have a Hilton Honors American Express. Usually we don't stay at Hiltons, though. We like Doubletrees, Embassy Suites, and Homewood Suites on vacations, and we stop at Hampton Inns when we're driving and need a place to stop for the night.

Definatly agree with the Marriott. My boyfriend and I discovered them on our way back from Disney in June of 2002. We wanted some place we had heard of before and decided the Marriott looked really nice. We even signed up for Marriott rewards and have no stayed anywhere else since!

I prefer "mom and pop" type motels and motor lodges

They have a certain charm you don't get with big chains

We love Country Inns and Suites for one or two night stays. We use our rewards on our cc to pay for it and the places are all pretty new, very clean, serve a nice cont. breakfast, and cookies in the evening. Usually our first night at WDW is spent in the one at Calypso Cay and we check into BWV or BCV bright and early the next day.

Embassy Suites or Marriott Courtyard.

They are always consistant. You don't have to worry about getting a "bad" one. ;)

I have always enjoyed my stays at Embassy Suites. I love the real, live continental breakfast complete with made to order pancakes. It helps get my day started off right. :)

We have Marriott, Hilton and Wyndham cards.
Where we stay depends on location. It's actually not too bright as we never seem to build too many reward with any one chain.

I do generally check for embassy suites first though - another fan of the breakfasts!

We like Loews Hotels... We have tried all the US/IOA hotels... Loews Miami Beach (lovely), House Of Blues Hotel here in Chicago.. all fab!

For our next trip to NY we will stay at the Loews there... I forget the name at the momment... cant wait!

We stumbled onto Drury Inn and Suites a few years ago and stay with them whenever we can.

With a family of 7 now it can be tricky to find accommodations for all of us at a decent price and they have always been very reasonable. They have refrigerators and microwaves in every room and include a really nice complimentary breakfast also (ranging from cereal/bagels to eggs/bacon/french toast). Those options save us a ton of money.

They all have an indoor/outdoor pool and hot tub which we take advantage of even when staying just one night...everyone sleeps better after a swim and a bath.

Now we just need one in Orlando!!!

Even though I usually try not to stay in chains, I do look for Doubletree if I don't have any other place in mind. I think that they're real nice and consistent plus I love their cookies. :)

DH is heavily involved in Holiday Inn's rewards program through his business and prefers to stay there as much as possible when he travels. While I have stayed in some very nice Holiday Inns, I can't say that they're as dependable as I would like.

We belong to all the affinity programs, but I never stay at one particular chain to really rack up any points. The ones I have the most luck with are Lowes and Wyndham. We have always been upgraded when staying at either.

I like the Marriott chain. Love those Fairfield Inns with the free continental breakfast!

I like Wyndham's Summerfield Suites and Westins. I like some Sheratons, but they can be a mixed bag--I've stayed at some great ones and some not-so-hot ones. Ditto for Marriott's. Ditto, again, for the regular Wyndham hotel line, although the nice ones I've been to are fantastic.
