What is your favorite Character Meal? And Why? Which would you recommend one stay away from completely?

Our fave is Stitch breakfast at Ohana. We just love it. Yummy food, good character interaction, and great service. Definately our fave character meal. So far there have been none that I would stay away from. All the ones we have been too have been good. Just Ohana is our fave.

Although I can't say we have ever had a "bad" character meal, our favorite has to be the Princess Luncheon at Akershus in Norway. With a 7yr old DD who loves to dress up and see the Princesses and a 10 yr old DS who likes to try different foods, it is a hit with us every time we have gone. My DH and I love that we have the option of food choices from the cold buffet, plus different entrees to pick from...add in a platter of desserts to end the meal(YUM!) and I am in heaven!!:cloud9:

I'm sure there are many opinions of this character meal, but it is our favorite to date!:goodvibes

My new favorite is Donald's Breakfast Safari at Tusker House at Animal Kingdom. Ohhh, the food was actually good! In fact, really good! Soooo much better than the Denny's type food at Chef Mickey's. My daughter loved dancing around with Donald and beating drums, and all the characters were great: Donald, Mickey, Daisy, and Goofy. My skin flint husband actually asked to go back to it again! :rotfl2:

chef mickey's for breakfast ! We have the greatest time there....relaxed, great food, and all the popular characters. My kids were in heaven there. My 2nd fav is crystal palace, we go everytime and it never gets old... great food, and the kids love the characters and the mid meal follow the leader with the characters and waitstaff.

This is not an easy question.... there are so many good ones.... we have boys that love Pluto, Mickey, Goofy and Donald (in that order).... we are not a princess family, although I do feel like Cinderalla at times (before she met the prince of course :lmao: )

1) Donalds- love the atmosphere, character interaction is great, food is good
2) Chef Mickey- food is excellent, character interaction is good, the birthday party is terrrific
3) Liberty Tree Tavern- Not a buffet, we like the family-style serving, nice food choices, great character interaction, nice atmosphere
4) Cape May- Good food and character interaction, quieter atmosphere

My favorite is Cape May character breakfast because the characters come around several times, it's quieter (rather, less loud) than most, and the food's great! I can't think of one to stay away from-my first thought was CP, because I got sick after going there one time, but I think it's because I ate way too much dessert!

Personal favorite is Ohana's breakfast. I like that the food is brought to you, and not have to go to a buffet. The restaurant is nice, and has great views. Also, slightly biased because Stitch is my favorite.

Other experiences

CRT breakfast ~ food was fantastic, character interaction was fair, and you can't beat eating in the castle. The only down side we had was all the princesses seemed to come at once, so are food was on the table we couldn't eat it yet.

Chef Mickey's (breakfast) ~ food was okay, characters were fun but we had to chase down Goofy because he passed us up..twice, also the server was subtlety trying to push us out. Overall wasn't bad, but I've been to other places that were better

Gullivers Dinner (Swan) ~ bad. The characters were disappointing. We happened to pick a night with Timon and Rafiki, which the kids really didn't know who they were. The food was mediocre. You can pass on this one.

Donalds Restaurantosaurus ~ I know this one has been changed since I went. I hope the experience is close to the same though. The food was good, and the characters were fun. It is also a nice change to have this kinda character interaction inside the AK.

Just throwing this one in but the Villians Character Dinner at 1900 Park Fair. I thought it was a blast. I think they need to bring back a villians meal.

I have been wondering about this one. It used to be the best meal in World Showcase before the Princesses. I had hoped they kept the nicer buffet after the addition of the Princesses. I am dying to go there by myself or with DF this winter.

We love Crystal Palace with Winnie-the-Pooh and friends for breakfast. It is a must do for us every trip.

Thats so hard, every time can be different. We did like the Norway Breakfast. we went at the last seating for Breakfast, so the kids got all their favorites and while the princesses came, they switched to lunch, so we got to try everything there too. I felt nervous but I asked and they said it was fine. I like the Garden Grill, we do that one every time. The dessert wasn't as good this time, I prefer strawberry shortcake. We also liked the Playhouse Disney breakfast. I liked Liberty Tavern, I can't think of one we didn't like.
