Favorite AK eats...

We love AK, but not the lack of food [in our opinions.]

What are your faves and why??

I think AK has some great choices for CS. We love Flametree, Tusker House and Pizzafari. Flametree has good BBQ sandwiches (and I'm from Kansas City) and good key lime pie, plus the seating area has really nice views!!! Tusker House, unfortunately is going to a buffet soon, but I'm sure the food will remain very good. Love ther salmon and the chicken there... Pizzafari has pretty good pizza, but I love the hot italian sandwich, yum!!!

We have eaten at both Tusker House and Pizzafari. Tusker House was our favorite CS out of all the parks. I had the turkey wrap and corn chowder...so good! As the previous poster stated, it will be a buffet soon. If the food is the same quality, we will be going back.

That being said, Pizzafari is good as well. And I hope to try Flame Tree the next time I am there.

none of us can EVER agree on where to go....
we love the barbeque at Flametree or the ribs
at Pizzafari we LOVE the hot italian sandwich and the kids can get pizza
and at Tusker House, well, we've only eaten breakfast there which is very, every good.
We ARE looking forward to the new restaurant opening later this year.

i really like pizzafari...............its just so cute and fun. we love going there every time we go to the ak. i feel like its home when we are there...hah..........

I love Flame Tree--I usually get a pork sandwich, and the beans and corn are really good (I heard they don't do corn anymore though, but I can't confirm).

For snacks, I love to get the frozen lemonade from the fruit stand outside Safari, and I love a root beer or Fanta float from the ice cream stand near Everest.

I haven't tried Pizzafari yet, but I want to. I went in to get a drink recently and the breadsticks looked sooooooo good!

I agree that AK has the best CS of all the parks. I LOVE Flame Tree BBQ- everything on the menu is great. I love their grilled bbq chicken salad- so yummy and healthy too.

Flame Tree, ribs, pork sandwich, chicken, in that order.
REAL BBQ, slow smoked.
