Previously on Fatty McButter Pants' Food Review Part 1: On day 1, Fatty McButter Pants and his wife, Donna Double Chin hit the 2008 Food & Wine Festival hard, initially disagreeing on many items, though uniting in their love of food. Both seemed impossible to stop in their quest to eat anything and everything that didn't move. Who will eat more, who will throw up, and who will fall down? Find out as our story continues....

2008 Food and Wine Festival
This is the Spicy Tuna Roll served at the Tokyo, Japan booth
Fatty: This was the least fatty thing I ate all week, and this may surprise you, but IT WAS SUPER FABULOUS YUMMO!!! For those of you who attended the festival in 2007, do you remember this?
This WAS the item known as the Crispy Beef Sukiyaki Roll formerly served at the Tokyo, Japan booth (as you can see in the picture, we ordered ours with extra grill grease). This item captured my heart. This item had me at hello. When I first tasted it, I instantly knew that I had never felt like this before and never will again. For it is now just a distant memory. A memory that is fading fast because Disney will not bring it back. Who are they to ROB ME OF MY TRUE LOVE? HOW DARE TH---
Donna Double Chin: FATTY!
Fatty: ...
Donna Double Chin: Sorry, you will have to excuse Fatty. Whenever he thinks about that beef sukiyaki roll, this is what happens. We had better just move on to the next item.
This is the California Strawberry Shortcake served at the San Francisco, CA booth
Fatty: YOOOOOOO-HOOOOO!!! Anyone in the mood for dessert? One word: DELISH
Donna Double Chin: 75% of the time, strawberry shortcake is my favorite dessert every time. This is no exception.
Fatty: That doesn't make any sense.
This is the Lamb Slider in a brioche roll served at the Wellington, New Zealand booth
Fatty: Remember how I said that Monk would be back? Here he is displaying his lamb slider! Everything about this was excellent. I wasn't able to finish it as minutes before we had just finished eating at the San Angel Inn.
Donna Double Chin: What Fatty isn't telling you is that he took what was left of the lamb slider and put it in his pants pocket to save for later. It took a few minutes to convince him that doing so was gross before he threw it away.
Fatty: THAT STORY IS PRIVATE!!!
Tostados de Jaiba - Fried corn tortillas topped with shredded crab meat, mixed with chipolte mayo, red onions, cilantro, and lime juice served at the San Angel Inn (Epcot)
Grilled flank steak with chilaquiles (layers of fried corn tortilla, green tomatilla sauce, topped with fresh cheese, onions, and sour cream) served at the San Angel Inn (Epcot)
Lunch Break
Fatty: No one likes the San Angel Inn. Except us. We are MADLY in love. That heavenly appetizer could only have been created by an angel (Remember- I LOVE crab). That steak was something special. Cooked to perfection, paired with accompanying chilaquales (which SHOULD be soggy *wink wink* - (you know who you are)), I felt I had died and gone to heaven!
Donna Double Chin: When this meal began, I was Donna Double Chin. After this meal, I was on the cusp of becoming Donna TRIPLE chin. In addition to my order of Churrasco Con Chilaquiles, I ordered 2 servings of Flan de Vainilla (vanilla Flan - I love flan (sorry, no pic - it came out blurry)). For the record, this restaurant is gold, everyone, GOLD!
This is the Seared Beef Medallion with Cheese Polenta served at the San Francisco, California booth
Fatty: Fatty like beef medallion. Fatty want beef medallion.
Donna Double Chin: I love beef medallions. I ordered two. One for me and one for Fatty. When I saw them, I could not resist the urge to slide both of them in MY mouth the same time. Mmmmm!
Fatty: Fatty still want beef medallion. Fatty still hasn't gotten beef medallion.
This is the Chilaquiles (baked tortillas with chicken and cheese) served at the Mexico City, Mexico booth
Fatty: All day long, I could NOT stop thinking about the chilaquiles I had eaten at the San Angel Inn. I needed MORE! Walking through the festival booths, time slowed to a crawl as I passed the Mexica City booth. From the corner of my eye, I spotted that word, "chilaquiles". It was at that moment that I knew it was my next Food & Wine Festival item. Although it was quite different from the chilaquiles I had earlier, it was still SUPER DUPER!
Donna Double Chin: Super Duper? Okay... Fatty's order of chilaquiles looked so mouth-watering, that I order myself two. It was at this time that my love affair with chilaquiles began. Don't tell Fatty!
This is the Regensburger Sausage with sauerkraut in a pretzel roll served at the Munich, Germany booth
Fatty: To the 2008 Munich, Germany Food & Wine Festival booth chef: "My my...whoa whoa...mmmm mmm mmm mmm...boy...wait...signed, sealed, delivered, I'm yours!"
Donna Double Chin: You're HIS? Aren't you supposed to be mine? I guess it doesn't take much for Fatty to stray. As for the item, I love sausage. Love it.
This is the Spanakopita (savory spinach and cheese pastry) served at the Athens, Greece booth
Fatty: Donna Double Chin started eating this item before I could take a picture. I thought the item was fabulously gross. I've said it before, and I'll say it again. Cheese should be used to top a big, fat, thick, juicy, greasy, = burger (not housed between phyllo dough). Enough said.
Donna Double Chin: How dare you, Fatty. This is one of my favorire items! Besides, studies have shown that eating a Mediterranean diet composed of things like feta cheese and spinach is good for your health.
Fatty: Those are all lies. I'll be fine.
This is the ??? served at the ???
Fatty: ...
Donna Double Chin: Fatty refuses to talk about this. I can't seem to remember what this item is or where we got it, but I do remember why it is pictured on the concrete and not on a plate. Fatty was so excited about how this item smelled and couldn't wait to eat it. He ran to the nearest bench where he could dig in, but before he got there, he tripped and his plate kissed the cement. Yes everyone, Fatty fell down.
That is all for now. Part 3 will be posted soon. For now, please enjoy Fatty's park photography. Thanks for reading! My name is Fatty McButter Pants and I've gotta go eat!
