So will it give me a choice of times to pick from
Maybe I’m not watching the same video but I can’t find where it says AP holders can add this on.
That is perfect. I think that they think that this will be how I will thinkI think that the planning aspects of Genie are supposed to mitigate this by creating a Touring Plans style of attack to direct people to where lines are shortest at certain times of day. At least, I think that's what they THINK or are counting on - I'm not so sure on that bet, myself.
Well that's magical...I hope it fails miserably, Disney needs a correction at some point.
I’m not in the market of selling magic, Disney is. The price grab after price grab isn’t magical at all. Enough is enough, the only way for things to change, is for things to fail. Between this and the parking fees, it’s an extra $600 a week for nothing added for my family of 4.Well that's magical...
Ah thanks! Adding or paying for it day by day seems like we’ll end up behind everyone else in terms of being able to book: we’ll waste a few minutes paying for it while everyone else is booking passes. This video and head to the end where they do Q&A. Its not an add on to your AP but just a regular fee each time you go to the park and want to add it is how I interpreted it.
I get that everything can't be for everyone. But hoping something fails just because you don't like it is a little more than ridiculous to me.I’m not in the market of selling magic, Disney is. Those services were included with my stay before
If this happens, then Genie+ will end up being a ripoff and a failure. It would basically mean that you have to stand in long standby lanes all day, even though you paid extra.
If it fails, it’s better for everyone.I get that everything can't be for everyone. But hoping something fails just because you don't like it is a little more than ridiculous to me.
I don’t think that many rides will be included for upcharge, I think it’s ten.So if you have 6 day park tickets do you have to do genie+ every day for $15/ day or can you choose to only buy certain days? For example, if going to MK I feel like there would be value bc there are a lot of second tier rides included. But if everything I care about at DHS is LL pay extra, I wouldn’t want it that day?
How? Is it that hard for you the believe some people might like this?If it fails, it’s better for everyone.
i want a price grab to fail, but Disney….
Couldn't disagree more. Better for YOU maybe. If it fails, it’s better for everyone.

There goes the benefit for staying onsite
Because it’ll force Disney to be creative again and come up with a better solutionCouldn't disagree more. Better for YOU maybe.
You're probably right about that. Bad example. But still, there will be at least two parks that have more than two rides on the pay separately list. So, at HS for instance, there will almost certainly be at least one ride that I love that I will simply have no ability to skip the line for --- even if I already bought Genie+ and am willing to pay even more on top of that.I imagine Splash won’t be one of the upcharge rides. There’s only ten total.
