We plan on visiting the World for 8 nights in the beginning of July, and then again for 11 nights in the beginning of August. We will be staying onsite and we're AP holders.

Are we able to reserve fastpasses for both trips for the length of stays since technically we would be within our 60 day booking window for our 2nd trip before we even went on our 1st trip?

I just don't want to have a problem trying to reserve fastpasses for our 2nd trip.

After reading a lot of these, "we have APs and two close-together trips," posts,
I would expect some "problems."
Sorry.

You'll be fine for booking up to 9 days of FP+ for Trip 1 (you can book check-out day.)
But, the problem may arise when you try to book Trip 2 before you arrive for Trip 1.

I've found it hit or miss. Sometimes we are held to ten total days, sometimes we are okay as long as all days are on-site.

I'd book what you need for trip 1, and the hardest to book of Trip 2 - filling in each day as you go along.

I'm not sure under what circumstances that you could book 10 total FP+ days in advance with AP tickets.

I can guess that:
A. You had an on-site resort stay that had at least 9 nights (or two consecutive on-site stays of a total of 9 nights.)
-or-
B. You also had a three-day MYW ticket in your MDE account, in addition to your AP.

Otherwise, I don't see how you could advance book more than 7 days of FP+.

I'm trying to remember. I was super surprised.

I think it would have been my February & April trips, because there was a deliniation between being on-site and not.

Friend 1 & I were on-site with FPs Feb 19-20-21. We booked FPs. Friend 2 was possibly coming, so we also made FPs for her, same days, but she was NOT on the reservation.

We then returned April 16-24. When we went to make those FPs, Friend 1 and I were able to make for all days, but Friend 2 was short a day. (We didn't visit the parks departure day.) I can only guess it's because she was not on the February reservation.

All three of us will return in May and have FPs for four days, which existed in addition to the eight days we had in April. We are currently booked onsite, though I think we'll be moving offsite.

All three of us are AP holders. Incidentally, when we tried this before, (a stay in the fall maybe?) it capped us at ten days total regardless of resort stay, so there was a change somewhere along the line.
